so was there anything in the journal like a loose page or anything written that seems out of place or in appears different from the date/time and general observations?

Nope. The journal is straight forward. To save time the journal has 72 dates in it. They start five days after his wifes death and continue every other day or so (random intervals) for three months. Two dates up till that point have check marks besides them. After the three month period, there is only three dates per month listed. Each set of three dates for another five months have one date out of the three check marked. Sometimes the first, sometimes the second, sometimes the third. The last three sets of dates in the book were two nights ago, yesterday and today. Note none of those three dates have check marks and Sminner was dead before those dates arrived. Main correlation is that the check marked dates are ROUGHLY 30 days apart.

okay, bought some time before telling Ritage anything. Between what we can learn from the stables and what we can learn from the cave, we should have something concrete to take to Ritage about the connection between Sminner and weapons.

That works. I just had to play Kursaville that way. Now that he is a Constable he is serious about his duties.

cool, I just thought some down time would be healthy for the guys to have some down time and to make sure that they are rested up for night ops. Go ahead and jump ahead. All I ask is enough time to get any info from Gaul and Reeks before we stake out the cave.

so the me safe, me safe, and the rolling of the eyes, is that your way of saying leave Gaul and everyone go to the cave? I've been thinking that I should be taking the tunnel from Halfhelm's store. But I guess if we can document the wagontrain from the cave tonight then tomorrow we could explore the secret tunnel with a better idea of what we are dealing with. Oh, I'm so torn.

Gaul safe was just his way of repeating your command for him to be careful. Reeks was rolling his eyes at Gaul not you. I'm going to go with the idea you sent me in a PM. I'll take care of it. Muahahahahaa.

ok, making a detour to Jhessil's to get a couple torches, otherwise we can make some easy enough before we go into the tunnel. I would like to delay the lighting of open flames as much as possible. I might break down and buy a lantern. I would also like to have Halfhelm join us, extra strength thing. If I can get him to join I want Reeks in the lead, Kursaville, Halfhelm, Siff, and then Firebug. I have some rope that we can have everyone hold so we can stay together without limiting movement should something happen.

So what is the deal with the dwarves? Halfhelm leading a raid of his own? Will we be joining forces or will Halfhelm be traveling with other group?
