Before Briggs got out of the door, Aiko musters all of his strength," Briggs!" Aiko's face turns red and he smiles," Please don't drag him just invite him. I don't want to displease him further." Aiko waits for Briggs' response.

Aiko calls the waitress over to him. Now he is worried about his funds. He wonders how much Briggs will put down as a bid. He really couldn't afford 300 Gold Crowns. He hopes it isn't that much.

"So what do you think of the job offers Boss?" Mason smirks as he says this last word.
A beautiful, curvy, young, human, woman stops by the table. "What can I get for you handsome gentlemen today?" she says in a sultry voice like velvet. She smiles down at Aiko and brushes shiny, blond, locks out of her eyes.
Tull wastes no time. "I'll have a pale ale, a block of cheese, half loaf of bread, uhhmm, a bowl of porridge and ahh, oh! Fruit! Any fruit you may have...Uhmmm Salima?"
"'Fraid not love, Salimas outside, I'm Ruby." the waitress added with a pout.
"Ahhh, my dear, your all just so beautiful I cannot tell ye apart." The halfling amended.
Satisfied she turned her attentions back to Aiko but she was yet again diverted. This time by Sull.
"A pint of Dwarfen Beer, please. Stew if you have some. If not then whatever fresh." Sull grinned widely at the lady who just nodded with a smile and locked eyes with Aiko again.
"And you my Lord?" She cooed while smiling warmly.

Ruby seemed to think this over for a moment. "Sure Love." The voluptuous barmaid put her hand over Aiko's affectionately. "We have a few small kettles that we aren't using. How 'bouts I heat up some water for you. You can take the kettle with ye, and just return it when yer through. Will that cover all your needs?" She finished with a wink.

" Yes," Aiko smiled, " That would be very fine." Aiko watched as Ruby walked away. He was lost in her every curve. When he came back to reality he noticed the goofy looks across the faces of his brothers. Aiko felt the heat rush to his face and with a higher pitch Aiko said," I think the we should help the Baron with his weapons troubles and escort the shipments. What do you all think?"

Mason just nodded.
"I always prefer to help my home town, so count me in." Tull responded enthusiasticly.
Sull stroked his matted beard in thought. "We go capital? I always wanted to see big city. Count Sull in to."
"Well that just leaves Briggs. I'm sure he'll be pleased with whatever we decide." Tull added.
The food and drinks were brought. Everyone was enjoying the meal when Briggs returned with Rudgarr Halfhelm in tow.

Aiko felt the steam rise upon his face. It was a good feeling. He took the cream and poured it over the hot porridge. The smell was intoxicating and Aiko closed his eyes to completely enjoy it. As he took in the aroma, he drifted back and remembered. It was a time of youth and when he lived in the Temple of the Earth. He was outside in Master Bo's garden. The Master just came out of recovery and wasn't seen for days. His garden was on one of the highest peaks of the mountain and those who wished to learn under him needed to experience the garden itself. Aiko was a beloved student. He was expert at learning his disciplines, with unwavering focus. The air in the garden was crisp and pure. You remember finding Master Bo tending one of his younger plants which suffered from his absence. " Aiko?" Master Bo asked," How can I help you?" Aiko bowed, but his master still did not look up," I came to see you Master," Aiko explained ," I heard you were better." Master Bo was injured by rock slide during a major storm the week prior. Aiko wasn't present, but it was known that Master Bo challenged the power of the storm and lost. With the help of the healers, the Master was up quickly. " No, Aiko," Master Bo declared," My spirit has not recovered. My body is whole once more, but I am broken." Aiko was confused by this statement. He has never heard any Master talk with such humility before. The Masters seemed beyond mortal troubles like doubt and remorse, but Master Bo sat before Aiko admitting weakness. Master Bo looked into Aiko's eyes and Aiko could see the fear in them." No Master, this can not be," Aiko protested," You are an Earthmaster of the highest level. You can not be broken by a mere storm?" Aiko phrased that as a question, feeling his faith slipping away. Master Bo's fear began to cloud Aiko's thoughts and doubt came out of the shadows of fear. " Aiko, I was foolish," Master Bo began," So many years I have spent mastering the Earth and I have lost touch on what is important, humanity. My path became too hazardous when I thought I was a god and hid in this mountain like the rest of worms. Earth is everywhere, encompassing this plane and it needs us to tend it all, not just here." Aiko couldn't grasp what the Master was telling him," Master I don't understand," Aiko admitted," How can you tend the Earth all over?" The Master smiled and weakly limped over to Aiko. A light grew in his eyes as he approached his favorite student," Aiko, You are a good student. I see you practice and study hard while others of your level play. You will soon be ready to become an Earthmaster and begin your journey of enlightenment," Master Bo put his hand on Aiko's shoulder," Aiko, promise me, that if you have the opportunity to help Earth and it's people do so. We are servants of the Earth and humanity and their brothers are children of the Earth, we need to take care of the children. Aiko, do not loose yourself to the power, but let the power guide you. I see great things for you Aiko, don't waste your greatness here. Use it to save the children. Do not let yourself be broken." Master Bo let go of Aiko and went back to his plant. Tears began to fall from the Master's eyes. Aiko was unsure of himself. Master Bo was treating him more like an equal and Aiko was not sure how to speak," Master, You can not be broken, you are too great," Aiko admitted," If you are broken, then how will we fix you?" Master Bo looked into Aiko's eyes," I am leaving, Aiko, I am going to protect the children." Aiko remembers his Master's word. He looked into the sky to see the flight of a large bird, probably an eagle.
"STONE!" It was Mason. Aiko was back to the here and now. Mason was calling him, Tull, Sull and Briggs were staring at him with wide eyes and a new guest was here at the table, Halfhelm. Aiko quickly raised to show the dwarf the respect due. Unfortunately this sudden movement and forgetfulness of time just cause Aiko great pain. Before he could bow, Aiko collapsed onto the floor, exclaiming in pain.

Mason and Tull were at Aiko's side in an instant. Sull had the look of a person who's mind wished to help but who's body didn't know what to do. Halfhelm looked on with a face full of concern. He was the first to speak after Aiko was returned to his seat.
"Seems your not fully recovered from your ordeal with the halfling." The Smith spit at the ground in disgust. "Good thing that bastard got what was coming to him. Your friend Firebug said you wounded Fox so severely that he couldn't resist the spell fire. Just as well I suppose. He would have hanged anyway."

" I am not recovered enough to stand so quick," Stone replied," What was that ? Did you mean Fox did not survive?" Stone was shocked and terrified. He had no intention in killing that mad Hobbit. Now they will never know the whole story. Before Halfhelm could answer Stone continued," May I feed you?" Stone smiles a welcoming smile.

"Well I'm no halfling but a dwarf never turns down a free meal. HA!" Halfhelm grinned mischievously as he sat down.
Halfhelm ordered a rack of lamb, a dwarfen pint of ale and a half loaf of bread. Briggs ordered the stew and a halfling pale ale, while Mason finally settled on the porridge and tea.
Ruby took the order and left the table, winking at Aiko as she passed.
"So, young man. What was so urgent you had to send your henchman to fetch me? I'm very busy with the mining dispute so you have until I finish my meal to speak your mind." Halfhelm leaned back in his chair, folded his arms and looked at the Earth Master expectantly.

" I won't keep you," Stone explained," My first business, is my honor to you. I damaged your stone. I would like to arrangements to repair it. Also, I offer you my word in any dispute for the gold. I thought it was yours. Go ahead and finish your meal and I will seek you later for possible employment. Again, I apologize for the damage." Stone smiles and returns to his porridge.

"I can eat and talk." To prove his capabilities he ripped into his lamb while continuing to ask questions. "So...you looking for work in my mine or my smithey? As far as my door is concerned I'd consider it an honor to have it fixed by the hero of Garrotten. Haha!"
The smith took another chunk of meat into his mouth and chewed vigorously.
During the brief respite, Briggs pushed a small sack of coin over to Aiko. "Thats whats left Bo..rother. A good bargain if I do say."
"Hmmm, whats that?" Halfhelm asked curiously.
