" Earl?" Aiko asked with confusion, " What is the sign for jealousy?"

"Huh? Oh GOOD ONE! Hahahaha!" Tears well up in the little gnomes eyes as he laughs and laughs. He calms down just enough to explain. "In the mystic arts of symbols the sign for Jealousy is a half moon on the wane. Your a good lad Aiko. Are we done here? Come, I think we have ime to check out the Nexus Point before we go. Its an Alchamist shop worthy of the capital city itself but it is here in this little trading town."

Aiko followed Earl and Tull. Mason Followed behind. Aiko sensed his friend's uneasiness. Mason is more comfortable in the wild and this shopping trip is a little too much for him, but Mason is trying and that is all that matters. Aiko hung back with Mason as they walk to the Nexus Point," Earl said my lantern was crafted by a dwarf or else he wasn't a jealous full moon." Aiko flashed a comforting smile. Mason was taken by surprise by this ridiculous statement and belted out a loud belly laugh. It was probably the most noise the man has ever made. Towns people flinched and looked. These people wouldn't have even seen this man if it wasn't for this loud laugh. It was a release for Mason and it felt good. Aiko was happy to cheer up his friend. Of course Aiko understood that Earl was making a statement of truth about the dwarf crafting the lantern. Earl was so sure of this, otherwise his whole universe would change if he was wrong, but it is funnier if Mason thought he was getting it all wrong. So Aiko made his friend laugh.

The Nexus point looks like a small wooden shack in disrepair. The odd looking sign out front however glows a pale blue that changes to red and then green and finally back to blue again. When Aiko first walks inside he feels like a kid in a candy store. For while the building is clearly only 30 square at most, the inside is as large as a palace. Great cathedral ceilings with flying buttresses greet you as you enter the vast foyer. A Troll, decked out in a suit of studded leather and waring a nasty looking flail on his hip welcomes you all to the Nexus point Alchemy shop. The Unnamed Troll states that,
"You are encouraged to wander the main hall and admire any item that fancies the eye. You are warned however that no touching is allowed. Items are clearly marked as to what properties they possess and the firm price is listed in neat, bold print. Please do not stray from the main hall as the rest of the establishment is off limits. Any questions may be directed to me. If an appointment is made then an audience with Gardrax the Great may be secured for the following day. While it should be obvious it is important to realize that any attempt at thievery will result in a most unpleasant, painful and lingering demise. Have a nice day."
With a single glance it is obvious to Aiko that he could not currently afford even the smallest of baubles in this wondrous hall of magic. Earl walks right up to the menacing looking troll. "Look here Whiskey. Stop pretending you don't know me and tell Gardrax I'm here will you."
The Trolls visage immediately turns sorrowful and pouty. "Ahh Earl. Not in front of new folk. I have a reputation to uphold here. I eat gnomes remember?"
Earl laughs at this as he does most things. "Whiskey. YOU are a vegetarian! Now go get that lazy Alchemist out here." The troll skulks off into one of the many adjoining rooms.
Eal turns to the three of you. "Now don't go touching things just cause he's gone. That gruesome, painful death bit is no joke."

Aiko realizes, instantly, that he is in a house of magic. He realizes that Mason hung back outside. After taking in the the scene from the door way and watching Earl and Tull enter further. Suddenly Whiskey came out from the adjoining room and led Earl and Tull inside. Whiskey then returned to his post. " Yes sir," Aiko declares with a bow,"Is your name really Whiskey?" Aiko straightens once he finishes his question and awaits the answer, still looking the troll in his eyes.

Whiskey looks at Aiko like he's some kind of country bumpkin.
"Listen up little man. You NEVER let a magician know your 'true' name. It gives them power over you." With that Whiskey crosses his arms over his chest and stands back into guard position.

" Oh, well then Whiskey," Aiko talks in a calm voice," I would like to make an appointment with Gardrax the Great." Aiko smiles, trying to be as friendly as possible. He believes it may be wise to make friends with those connected to a store like this.

The nine foot tall troll grunts. "Sure. I'll see if he is available. Come back early tomorrow. Mornings are best for the alchemist. Who should I say is requesting an audience?"

"Err..." Aiko's eyes shift from side to side," Call me Stone. I wasn't expecting such a fast answer. I am going to leave town for a week. I will make my appointment when I return for the next morning, then." Aiko gives Whiskey a quick bow," Thank you sir." Aiko leaves the building and approaches Mason. " Call me Stone from now on Mason," Aiko said with in a low voice.

Mason gives an almost imperceivable shake of his head. "Your an odd one my friend......but then so am I. Sure. I'll call you Stone."
Not long after Tull and Earl exited the shop. "Shall we head back my friends? I believe it is time."
