You have triped a trap. A heavy object of somekind attached to a chain is swinging at your head. You need to dodge a 16 or better. If you get hit you may roll with punch to take half damage. If you posted before reading this I will give you time to change it if needed. (I have to go to bed. Sorry. I work early.)

Initiative time. You face ten bandits. The stairs are wide and can accommodate 4 people wide. the bandits are in two very lose ranks.
1st Rank: (all attacking) 1 Human, soft Leather, Short sword, dagger 1 Orc, soft leather, Flameberg great sword 1 Goblin, soft leather, morning star, dagger 1 Goblin, soft leather, mace, dagger
2nd rank 1 Elf, soft leather, long sword, dagger (can't attack: not enough room) 1 orc, soft leather, Spear, and short sword (thrusting with spear between comrades in rank 1) 1 human soft leather armor, Military Fork (thrusting between comrades in rank 1) 1 Goblin, soft leather, short sword, throwing axe. (not attacking: trying to get around)
3rd Rank 1 orc, studded leather, Battleaxe and broad sword back up. (can't attack: not enough room) 1 Goblin short bow, short sword (arrow knocked and ready)

(can't attack: not enough room) 1 Goblin short bow, short sword (arrow knocked and ready) I rolled a natural 20 for Initiative. With 2 attacks I guess I will go after the first line(obviously). I will attack the human and the orc. I will not dodge(of course), but parry anything that comes my way. I rolled a 3+5=8 to hit the human. I rolled an 11+5=16 for the orc. Let me know how many parries and I will roll damage if I hit.

ok, 7 of these guys only get 1 attack and all 3 of the others are not attacking right now so I need 6 parries and damage for one hit. Your Parry bonus is the same for both sword and shield right now so I will assume you are alternating between them for 'Story Flavor'. Cool?

I will go after the Human and 2 goblins. Let's see if I can push them back. 12+5=17 to hit the human, 7+5=12 11+5=16 for the goblins.
Let me know how many parries I need and how much damage(if any).

I have some questions. 1. How many armed foes are in front of me that I can hit? 2. How many wounded? *associated to the question above: **Of the wounded, are any still armed and fighting? **Of the wounded, are any unarmed.
There have been some dropped weapons in this melee, correct? Are we fighting on the stairs? If so, is there a chance Einhard can spend a Melee Action, sweeping them off the stairs to the "dinning room" floor away from their owners?
