ok, so I was looking through some old Characters I had laying around and I was thinking how fun it would be to dust them off and put some of my favorites into a single non-campaign style game or dungeon romp. I'm talking some high level kick butt characters that took a long time to build. Then I looked at your characters and realised that at present game speed your characters may reach level 9 or 10 in about 3 or 4 years of real time. So here is the pitch. I will be posting a 9th level Assassin and a 10th level Paladin (they hate eachother) and I will be puting them into a game. If anyone would like to use or recreate an old favorite character of theirs (from Paladium or D&D or whatever) using these rules and having them be 9th or 10th level you may join me and make an uberhero group that can take on the big stuff like dragons or demons or what have you that your current characters will take eons to be able to do. Anyone interested? RULES: 1. Characters STILL must be made using the available roled stats on this board. Uberheroes or not I don't want characters with a bunch of 25-30 point stats! However I will allow a free 5 points in bonus to be added where you see fit if you wish. 2. I must insist that your uberhero be of a different occ then your current one so you do not lose interest. 3. I must aprove ALL Magical items and weapons for game balance. 4. I would prefer if this ubercharacter is a remake of an old favorite as apposed to a new character just made up at a high level. I want History and story telling between these heroes. I want to feel that this is a group of veterans who have been around and seen it all. Questions? Any interest? I am not set on an adventure either so we can discuss what we would like to do or you can leave it to me.

You misunderstand me my friend. 'I' will be playing the Assassin 'female' as well as the Paladin (yet to be posted) in our little group. Send me a PM or heck give me a story right here in this thread involving a character of old that you remember playing in any fantasy game setting and we will recreate him here. Someone you loved playing. Powerful wizard? Dastardly thief? Dumb Barbarian? Anything?

Cool. This will be pre-wizard version but yes he's ready. I just didn't want to type him up if you were not interested. SF is hashing out a Wolfen. Should be interesting.

Ok, so BANE the Wolfen Ranger is complete. Barbarius the Dwarven Mercenary is almost done as are Sunny the Human Paladin and Meylon the wood elf assassin. Looks like thats all who are interested in the LEGENDS game.
So lets start thinking of what we want to do as a game. Here are some ideas of mine please feel free to add your own and please leave feedback/input. I'm the GM but a player as well so I want a group effort on this one.
1. Mines of Moria style dungeon crawl. 2. Us against the Horde! Above ground/castle defense? Alamo/last stand game 3. Other world/dimension game? (we do have a lot of demon/devil stuff going on with the characters) 4. Dragon slayer or other incredibly powerful beastie game 5. Quest to destroy the 'Old Ones' ancient powerful aliens that set themselves up as evil gods a millennium ago. They slumber in the bowels of the earth...waiting to be awoken.

Please note that Sunny is a Paladin so he will have all sorts of low to mid level henchman/followers for me to kill off for added drama! ;D
Oh and I have no qualms at all about killing off these Legendary Heroes of old. After all, Heroes are not meant to grow old and gray but die in battle! And do not fear because if we should all die there will be one who lives to tell the tale! (probably Barbarius considering he has already died twice, though he was brought back once by the very deck of Fate that Firebug now holds in his hands)

Just found this adventure on the Palladium home site. It is for the Palladium Megaverse but with very little tweeking it has a nice flavor to it. It's just an outline I have not bought it or anything, I just thought we may use the concept. Here it is:
War factions from the Hells, Hades and Dyval, have discovered the existence of a great mystic artifact that has been hidden and protected by the Cosmo-Knights of the Three Galaxies. And both sides want it.
The artifact is an ancient Rune Book that contains the names of the 2000 greatest heroes the Megaverse® has ever known. But it is more than a historical document, it is a magic item of unparalleled power.
According to legend, the tome has many great powers. One such power is to read the name of any one person inscribed, while evoking the proper magic, to give the reader the knowledge and power of that great hero. And many are the powers of the 2000.
The artifact also has its dangers. It is said if the List of Heroes™ is wrested from the Cosmo-Knights and kept locked in the pits of Hell, then the Knights and all heroes of the Three Galaxies will lose hope and flounder. If the book is destroyed, it is said, the Cosmo-Knights will cease to exist within a generation and the forces of Chaos shall reign. Needless to say, the Lords of Hell, the Splugorth and many others who serve Chaos would do anything to get their hands on the List of Heroes.
Rumor also suggests that the artifact may hold clues to the location of the Cosmic Forge, perhaps in some sort of code or the memories of the heroes who can be evoked. And there are many other tales of cosmic power, healing and knowledge all associated with the book and the ghosts of the heroes named on its pages.
As circumstance would have it, the List of Heroes has fallen into the possession of the Player Characters. The question is, can they keep it safe from the forces of two Hells until it can be returned to the safekeeping of the Cosmo-Knights? Or will they misuse it for their own, personal gain? How will this scenario unfold? Who is on that list?
Thoughts? Like it? Hate it? To much to change to make it work? Hell maybe our names are in the book.

I like the book idea and that woul probably fall under number 3 and 4. The big question would be, can we fit together a group given the "diversity" of characters? Don't paladins and wolfen kill each other on sight?

Thats the beauty of it. Read Bane's History. What you don't know is that Meylon and Sunny have worked together before. Sunny just thinks she's a Mercenary. She doesn't advertise "Hey I'm a hired killer". Barbarius has also fought side by side with Sunny, and Bane only trusts two humans, one of wich...is Sunny. So Sunny is the key to the group and all we need to keep it together.

I like the book idea, especially since Barbarius is #1 in the book.
