Retainers are considered NPC's run by me. They gain XP just like you and will gain levels as they are played. They all get an equal share of all treasure and are considered full members of the group.
If you decide to dump, or lose a Retainer he MAY or MAY not return to the Hiring Hall. He also gets to keep all items acquired.
