Ok I think if I re-lit the torch and set the thing a blaze that would do something but i am thinking that would take too long to do. what do you think.

Seriously, if you want advice, feel free to ask the other players in a thread or post. They both read your story and know what is going on. I just don't feel right telling you what to do. I am the game master after all.

I would also go back over the earlier postings regarding this fight. Keep an eye on which ones do damage. I would suggest that those people keep fighting and anyone who has not been able to do damage light torches or do anything else that you might need.

Chier I had to change a line in your post. You confused Mandris with Maverick. Maverick was using a bow (he has dropped it already and is on the verge of dieing). Mandrid picked up the torch and has been using it as a club. I simply took out the line about the bow and ordered him to light the torch he is carrying. Easy enough.

Just playing devil's advocate here. Not to mention my love for all things fire. You are in a large wooden box. Yes there is water on the ground but the walls and ceiling should be dry enough to catch on fire. Not that I'm telling you burn the boat but this monster seems to dislike the light and you can always fish the goodies out of the river later if need be. It sounds like your group is hurting and this could be a last ditch, desperate effort.

ok heres the deal. With NORMAL healing, Maverick would have a very slim chance to live at -9 HP. Johan at -1 would be much better off. HOWEVR magical healing is a whole other ball game. BOTH characters have a 1-75% chance to pull through with a single magic touch. If successful they will raise to 1 hp and regain conciousness. Ok here it goes. Assuming you use your lay on hands healing ability on Maverick you just rolled a ...90% oops sorry. Even magic didn't help. He was to far gone. Glaivin is attempting the same thing on Johan. ....46%. The sailor pulls through and regains conciousness. He can now be healed normaly by Glaivin if Johan wishes to pay for it. Yes Glaivin charges Gold to heal. Get used to it. What would you like to do now?

Ok I think that chier johann glavin and tiy should take maverick and give him some type of decent funeral. I forget if mav was one of my henchman or if we should just toss him body off the ship or bring it back to town to try and find the cemitary there. I am not sure if that should even come in to play. I think that my new found friends would think more of the grp if it were to happen like that maybe take mav back to there village for the funeral.
What do you think .

Funerals are good. I've done that before. You should prob. butry both of them or take the remains back to the town church. Your call. On another note. I know you said you wanted to control Tiy and Glaivin...but your post had Chier asking both of them questions but you didn't write the responses for them....soooo I figured you were not going to post a reply to your own post so I did it for you. Hope thats cool. Once Johan is healed enough to walk on his own I'll have him say more stuff about what you all may wish to do next unless you already know. If thats the case go for it.

OK, Should I assume you have left that last post a little vague so I may fill in the details (such as where you are going) or do you have a specific agenda in mind? I don't want to mess up somthing you may have going. Oh and that last post has a LOT of word errors. It was a little hard to follow.

I decided to make an NPC paladin for hire tonight and while making him I had discovered that I missed a crucial step in Chiers creation. I forgot your family background. I therefor rolled on the chart and determined you are a 'NEW' Paladim meaning that you are the first in your family. Because of this you gained 3 SKILLS! I noticed you had yet to reach my imposed limit of 3 physical skeills that add bonuses, so I gave you Boxing. You now have 3 attacks per melee, 3 extra HP, +2 to Strength, +2 damage as well as another +2 to parry and dodge, not to mention a knock out blow with any blunt weapon or fist on a natural 20. I also gave you swimming (duh, you are on a sinking boat after all) as well as prowl to help sneek around a little better. I am sorry I missed that earlier. but now you can kick some serious butt. ;D

well let me re read it I am sure that i will catch them. I was heading to the bridge or cabin or what ever you want to call it to check that out.
I went ahead and made a couple changes the plan was to go to the wheel house to see what we could find if antying. and i was referring to glavin getting paid for the healing or wanting to anyhow.
