ok, I'm trying to redownload AVG free antivirus 2009. However I can't click on the link given to me after the search. Could someone PLEASE get me an actual website that I can type into my bar so I can go there and DL it. My Norton isn't detecting crap.

well along with my connection issues my PC is acting like it has a Virus. My Norton isn't detecting it so I want to DL AVG's free antivirus program.
Type in AVG Antivirus in your search engine, click on the best looking link. It should be called 'AVG FREE ANTIVIRUS 2009' or something like that. Once you are on the web site, copy it and paste it here so I can type it in. My system doesn't allow me to click on any links right now (hence why I think I have a virus)

sry man I thought you had avg on you system. but it looks like the link has been given to you so if that for some reason does not work if you had it on you system then you can do a search on your own system by just typing in avg and it should find the exe file that you have already downloaded (that is if you had it on you system b4 )
talk to you later man.

I just went to the link and that should work for him, thank you homeskillet.
The problem with the free antivirus things is that you don't get the auto scanners that keep the stuff from happening. Unfortunately the only way I have descovered t keep my computer safe is to use the reguar antivirus, such as Verizon or Norton, to tell you you've got it and then use the free ones to scan and delete it. I don't have AVG, but I do have Super Antivirus Free edition and it is absolutely awesome at getting rid of everything, but it is my regular antivirus that detects without having to do a virusscann every time I log in.

I pay for Norton and as I said it doesn't detect any problems with my PC. My issues just can't be from bad phone lines. I can't use links, I freeze up for no reason. My PC won't always shut down when I tell it to. Oh and as soon as I tried to DL AVG my PC kicked me off line.

ok, so Verizon is insuring me it is no longer my line giving me trouble and to them it doesn't sound like a virus. To them it sounds that when my line was burned out it may have caused some data corruption in my system. YEAH!
Now I'm out of my element.
Pixie or Chier I need help. DO I reboot/reset my entire system back to the day I bought it errasing any corrupted data while simultainiously losing all my info such as saved games and more importantly pictures or do I get professional help like geek squad or who ever? Is there anything else you reccommend? I also plan on DLing AVG as well as a new browser such as FireFox. Internet Explorer just causes dto many problems. I can't seem to do that though until I fix this corruption issue if that is indeed what it is.
