Lilien and Silk had hit it off and were quickly becoming good friends. The fees at the Inn were draining the two thieves of good coin. Well it was draining someone of good coin at least considering none of the gold was coming from their own purses. The fact remained that they couldn't stay at the Inn forever. Sooner or later someone would catch them picking the wrong pocket and the gig would be up. They needed their own place in Garrotten. The Guild was always open to them but, they only wanted to go there incase they needed a safe house or to lay low. What they really needed and found was a cute little house that was for sale and needed only a little fixing up and a womans touch to call it home. Well, it also needed 2,000 gold crowns to buy it but, that was what the tower was going to remedy or so they hoped.
The Tower of Power as the locals were calling it had appeared over night just outside Garrotten. Various wizard types in town had confirmed it was magical in nature and that unless it's owner decided to venture into town it was best to leave it alone incase the owner didn't like visitors. Silk had told Lilien of the mysterious tower and both being curious thieves couldn't resist a crack at it. The best part of all was because it was outside Garrotten proper it was also outside the guild's juristiction. What that spelled out for the girls was no 25% cut to Goodheart. Gearing up the two thieves set out on a moonless night for the Tower of Power. Just past 11pm they stood a hundred yards off looking at their intended target. The tower was seven stories tall that split into two adjoining conicle toped spires for another 2 stories. There were dozens of windows, some with flickering candle or torch light visible within. The ground floor had a massive, wooden, double door entrance that was closed and looked impenitrible.
