Hearing no noises from the other side of the door, Silk called the all clear. The lock was so simple Lilien had it open in less time then it took to pull the handle. The door opened up to a corridor that curved around to the left as well as the right with the curve of the tower. The hall was dark but, two wall sconces could be discerned in the gloom. They both held extinguished torches with in easy reach of Lilien.

"I not know about you, Silk, but LEFT has always been my prefered direction to start in. What do you think?" Lilien stated quietly. She put a big confident grin on her face, she still really was excited.

"Right." Silk answered. Lilien raised an eyebrow. "Sorry" Silk whispered. "I mean all-right. Left is fine." Silk pulled a thin bladed dagger from her right boot and twirled it absent mindedly as she crept down the hall to the left. Just around the bend was a small table with a silver vase of flowers against the towers inner wall. Silk looked like a giant beside it. Up ahead was a stairway headed up and next to it was a stairway headed down.

"I suppose we should head down, all things considering," Lilien whispered, " Yes? And do you find it odd that everything seems to be my size?" Of course, Lilien was just wondering outloud, but she really was curious about this, 'cause most the places she ever robbed had always appeared to hold much larger people, but not this one.

"Odd? No. Not everyone in the world who lives in a tower need be my size right? Besides maybe you will find some expensive necklaces and rings that you won't have to have resized!" Silk laughed musicly yet quietly while she casually took the flowers out of the silver vase and slipped it into a sack.
The two ladies headed down the stone stairs as quietly as they could. At the bottom was a curving hallway identicle to the one above with out the decorations. A closed, wooden door lead somewhere into the towers interior while a humming noise could be heard from around the curve. It was distant and constant sounding. Silk tried the door handle out of habbit. "Locked." was her comment.

OOC: Go read the ooc first!
Spoiler! Lilien searched carefully all around the door frame looking and gently feeling for trap wires and such. When she went to put her dainty little hand over the door itself she felt a tingle like when a limb goes numb. Drawing her hand away the sensation left. Trying again she moved her hand over as much of the door as she could reach. The sensation returned and seemed strongest around the door handle. Lilien had run into a similar situation only once before. Magic. There was a ward of some kind. It was powerful. She was lucky to have sensed it at all. end spoiler

"Well, Dag Nabbit!" Lilien spat as quietly as she could," There's a flippin' flappin' ward on the fraggin' door!" She was very frustrated, Heaven knows what kind of ward that could be and what it could have done if she hadn't have felt it quick enough!!!
But she got over herself very quick and straightened up and said with a bright smile, "Well, we asked for adventure from a magic-come-out-of-thin-air tower, didn't we?" She giggled a little and said, "What should we do now, or would you like to try a different direction?"

"Hmmm, it's safe to say that whatever it does it won't be pleasent. At the very least I figure the owner will know were here." Silk played with a section of her hair, curling it around her finger in while in thought. "I guess we'll leave it for now. We can always flip a coin to see who opens it if we don't find anything better."

"Sounds good to me," Lilien said, she tapped her finger on her nose as if to wonder and looked towards where they came from and then towards where the humming sound seemed to be coming from. Come to think of she was curios about what that sound was, "I guess we find what's making that noise." She started to walk.

Rounding the curve of the tower revealed yet another stairway. Just down this time. It looked like there was one large room per floor for the most part. Silk waved Lilien to stop as they approached the stairs and whispered. "I can see some kind of movement on the steps just round the curve." She looked around for a second. "These darn torches are playing havoc with my night vision. All I can see is shadows and...something...metalic? Oooh, I feel like a human!" she said frustratingly.

Lilien giggled on the inside with Silks comment about feeling human. It was time to be extra careful now with something moving just below them, although she was curious...."Why don't we try to take a little bit of a closer look?" she stated.

Being tiny, Lilien was able to creep up to the stairs without being noticed and peeked down. Just around the curve she could discern movement and then the thing came into view. She had never seen anything quite like it. It was like a knight in fantastically wicked armor yet it was obviously not a man. One arm just simply ended in a sword while the other was a spinning circle of some kind. It was this circle that created the humming sound they had heard. The creature...or maybe golum was a better description seemed not to notice her as it paced up and down the steps. pic coming soon.

Lilien creeped back to Silk and whispered as softly as she could, "What do you want to do about that?!" as she pointed towards where the Gollum was pacing.

Silk's jaw was hanging open. "Ah, huh, so...flip a coin for the door then? He he." her laugh was quiet yet strained. It was obvious the metal construct bothered her.
