"Well that is a thought, but what if you lose the flip and the door paralyzes you? I can't very well carry you myself now can I?" Lilien went through a few thoughts and then said, "Although a door guarded by magic might have something very interesting behind it. And considering we came from the top, whatever that Thing is guarding might be behind that door." OOOOOOOH, but Lilien realy did not like magic, of any kind. She took a second to toss it up in her head ,'Magic door or Giant Gollum thingy'. Oh hell, she was curious to know what was behind that door. She asked Silk, "I guess let's flip a coin for the door, but one question, I know its dumb but I am gonna ask anyway. Do YOU have anyway of knowing what kind of charm is on the door? At all?"

"Actually? No, no I don't." Silk untied her smallest coin purse and produced a gold crown. "King or crest?" she asked as she prepared to toss it into the air.

Lilien actually hesitated for a minute on that answer and looked at the direction of the 'Giant Gollum thingy'. She sighed and stated, "Crest."

The coin toss proved Lilien's luck was still with her as Silk was forced to try the door. Reaching out with one finger while cringing Silk touched the door expecting the worst. There was a bright blue flash temporarily blinding the thieves. A moment later Lilien saw that all the metal on Silk's person had disintegrated into small piles of rust on the floor. Her, sword, coins, daggers, buckles, buttons and grommets were gone. The mortified elf used all her skills and agility just to keep her cloths from falling to the floor, but before Lilien could comment...or laugh the door flew open. A male gnome emerged wearing colorful robes and a small pointy hat. He seemed very excited and talked in a rush.
"AhhhaIcaughtyouIcaughtyouyounogoodgolumIturnedyoutodustdidn'tIwaityournotagolumohmyohmywhoareyouooohanothergnomeandandwhatanelfohmyhowembarrasingyourclothsarefallingoffwellIsupposethat'smyfaultisn'tityesyeswelldon'tjuststandtherecomeincomeincan'thavethatnastygolumgettingyou."
the gnome motions for the two ladies to enter before continuing.

After the interestingly dressed gnome finally finished and the dizzying array of "woah!!" wore off, it took everything Lilien had to not burst out laughing!!!!. Still she had found she was able to regain some composure as long as she didn't look over to Silk, because Lilien would never be able to control her laughter if she looked at Silk again after what just happened, at least until Silk fixed herself back up again.
"Well sir, my name is Lilien and I do have to say you have a very interesting home here. May I ask your name in return?" She avoided any and all eye contact with Silk as she looked around the room to see what it looked like and if it held anything of interest.

The room appeared to be a luxurious bedroom at first glance with a high post canopy bed. Gnome sized of course and a full suite of furniture. Closer inspection also revealed a desk piled high with metal gizmos and gadgets ranging from the size of a coin to a large chest. None of them seemed recognizable.
Meanwhile Silk managed to get her clothing dilema under control at least temporarily.

"One more question, If you do not mind my asking," Lilien stated flatly, but then with a little excitement and fright, "What the heck is that thing outside your door and how did it get there?!"
Then she turned to Silk and asked, "Are you alright?"

Silk gave Lilien a sour look after her question. "Ahh, no, not really. Could you ask your new friend if he has any material I can use to fix this or I swear I'll cut up his bead coverings! What is he speaking anyway? Is that gnomish? I can't understand a word."

"Ummmmmm, Zed?" Lilien said while trying to hold in a burst of laughter. "Its not us speaking slow, its you speaking really, really fast, I believe." She swallowed her chuckle and pointed to Silk and said, "Do you think you could do something about this?" She opened up her hands and motioned them up and down Silks figure so he would understand what she meant.

The gnome glanced at the elf as if seeing her for the first time even though he had already commented about her. "Ohmy! Hereletme helpyougetdressed mydear." It was apparent he was at least trying to slow his speech. "Mywifehasmanythingsyou mayliketotryon." The gnome walked over to a dresser, opened the top drawer and started handing cloths to Silk absentmindedly over his shoulder to her while continuing his conversation with Lilien. "MywordI'm gladyoucameby. MaybenowIcanbe ridofthosegolums andgohomeatlast. Iwishtohireyouandyourcompanion todestroythegolums. Inordertodothat youjusthaveto turnoffthe mainpower supplydownstairs inthebasement. Whatdoyousay? Ofcourse...ifyousayno you'llbestuckhere aswell. Forever."
This whole time Silk had been taking the clothing items one at a time as Zed passed them to her behind him. The first was a bright yellow dress worthy of the finest ballroom, the next was a common enough shift, followed by various shirts of cotton and frocks. Of course each one was perfectly tailored for a two and a half foot tall gnome woman. With each garment Silk's expression slowly changed from confusion to amusement to frustration to anger (making faces to Lilien the whole time) and at last, holding a black, leather, two piece undergarment that looked quite sexy in Lilien's opinion, Silk had finally reached breaking point. She began pulling her hair silently and then pretended to strangle Zed behind his head and finishing with a noiseless boot stomping. She gathered up the cloths, took out her dagger and stalked off behind a dressing screen...that only covered her bottom half...sat on the floor and set to work.

Lilien did not want to anger or frustrate Silk anymore than she already was, but even she had to admit the situation was hilarious. She stifled, as best she could, a fit of laughter. And she did not know about Silk, but the little, ok big, favor that Zed asked of them, sounded like fun. So without thinking too hard on it, Lilien, very exitedly sated, "Sure, we'll help! Right Silk?" then very, hopefully, convincingly stated, "you don't want to be stuck here forever, do you?"

"NOPE! I'm ready!" came the reply from behind the dressing panel. Standing up Silk shifted her...costume into place. She had added some strips of leather to the top of the black leather undergarment to make it cover (barely) over her bosom. A cotton shift acted to cover her midriff whilst the yellow gown was cut to fashion a skirt. A rather short skirt, though everything that needed to be covered, was. Luckily her boots had contained no metal and remained in tact. She shot a look to Lilien that clearly stated she would suffer no comment. "Get by the golums. Turn off some thing-a-ma-jig. Get paid. Go home. Did I get it all?"
The gnome nodded vigorously then looked to Lilien. "Myyourfriend dressesstrangely."

It took all Lilien had to not roll on the floor laughing uncontrollably, but somehow she didn't. She very professionaly asked, " Is there anything else we need to know about these gollums before we start? Otherwise, " she looked at Silk with sympathy, " Are you ready Silk? Cause I am. I think" She shot her biggest smile at both Silk and Zed.
