"Blast it." Silverbeard quickly sheathed his sword and slung his crossbos over his shoulder.
He knew better then to follow his prey directly. Instead he went around the other side of the building where he had been hiding. If he walked quickly he should be able to run into Scab before he got too far and without draw too much attention to himself..

Once around the building Silverbeard could see his quarry 30 yards away and walking briskly away towards the center of town. He looked over his shoulder, but had yet to spot the dwarf.

Silverbeard walked quickly enough to keep Scab in sight. He didn't try to catchup just yet. It seemed odd that Scab would have known Silverbeard was hunting him. He bet it was that serving wench that tipped him off.
He suddenly wondered where Scab was hurrying off to. It was probably best to avoid a confrontation in twon if it can be helped. Most constables don't appreciate people fighting in their towns.

The fast footed bandit proved quicker then the dwarf anticipated. He soon lost sight of him and then his tracks as well. Lucky for the Hunter this way only lead to two areas. The North road out of town or the docks.

Silverbeard cursed under his breath. He doubted that Scab would leave town so easily. So given the choice it seemed that the docks would be his destination. Unfortunately, someone like Scab likely had friends on the docks an this simple bounty could turn into a nasty fight.
Hesitating for a moment as he pondered this he turned and moved slowly toward the dock. He tried to move like he knew where he was going and like he was headed somewhere specific. Asking for Scab there might be dangerous so he would have to keep his eyes peeled. Maybe if he could take on some dock work he might be able to blend in.

The dwarf made a round of the docks trying to blend in, but knowing he stood out just because he was a dwarf. They did tend to sink like stones after all so it was a rare (usually crazy) dwarf that looked for work anywhere near water. There were currently three river boats tied up. A fishing vessel named 'The Seahead', a trader unloading her wares called the 'Green Gil' and an old, rickety looking vessel with no name upon her. There were about twenty hands working the docks doing various jobs, but mostly working to unload the Gil. Close by were a few warehouses and the River Wardens office. In fact...Silverbeard thought that may be the warden himself heading his way.

"You lookin' for somethin' dwarf? You seem a bit out of place. Shouldn't you be in a mine or somethin'?" The big warden seemed more curious then hostile even though his words were not very...tactful.

"You be the dock warden then? I be needin' a word with ya. Be there somewhere...," Silverbeard looked aroudn quickly, "somewhere a bit more private, where we can talk?"

The Warden raised an eye brow. "Aye. Follow me then." The mountain of a man turned and headed to a sturdy looking building close by. A placard with a riverboat painted on it hung above the doorway. Entering the building revealed a large room decked out with nautical paraphernalia, a large counter top, a small desk and chairs. There was a back door as well that lead deeper into the building. A set of scales and weights were displayed on the counter top. "I suppose you found some gold up in the hills and need an appraisal?" he asked after the two were alone.
