So who has seen this? What did you think? I for one think it is the best movie I have seen this year. The pacing is perfect and the story is smart. I was surprised how they pulled it off and won't into too many details until I feel it is safe. I really do not want to ruin anything. The acting, these young stars demonstrated is spot on. Overall, as I stated above, I was very impressed. If you haven't seen it yet, GO! It was well worth it to me.

I can't. My wife refuses to go see a movie with the baby and won't have anyone else watch her right now for somthing so trivial. I can go on my own with friends, but I'm pretty sure everyone I know out here saw it while I was on Vac. I will see it on DVD along with Wolverine since both chances I had to see that movie fell through.  |

I just bought the DVD and saw it a few days ago. Best Trek ever. Characters are great and I loved the fact that it is not a reboot of the original, but an alternate reality. This will keep the old fans happy because the new movie is not saying "sorry all that stuff never happened". Pacing is perfect. Why? Get this. On the DVD they tell you in an interview that the old Treks are too slow for modern audiances and looked to STAR WARS to get the pacing correct. HAH!
