Goodheat rubs his jeweled hands together. "Alright my young burglar. Here's the idea. It's tax time again and we always like to play a little joke on our good friend the Treasurer by way of...stealing his collection box!" a few of the thieves chuckle. "Now our town here be a bit small so the treasurer, 'old wormwood' is also the tax collector. Starting tomorrow he'll be sittin' at a table with two burly castle guards just inside the castle walls in the courtyard preparing for the collections. He'll start at two hours past sun up and finish two hours before sun down only stopping once at mid-day for lunch. Now normally this takes a day or two. Because of the gold rush it may take three before he ventures out and tries to collect from those whom didn't come to the castle. Now because he be both treasurer and collector he won't lock up the coin in the castle vault till it's full. We figure we wait for the second night and relieve him of his burden. What say you?"

Hal thought for a second. The second night is a good choice because if he missed his chance but no one noticed him, he might get a second chance on the third day.
"Yup, sounds good to me." Hal wondered if would actually be possible to sneak into the castle vault itself. He pushed the thought to the back of his head saving the idea for antoher time.
"Do you have any usual times the guards change shifts or if old wormwood takes the box with him when he goes to eat?"

"It never leaves his sight. Last year we stole it during his break so he may be expecting that angle again. We do have a crude map of the castle proper and his bed chamber's location. Can't say what the guard detail will be like though. The same guards are with him the whole time until he retires for the day. Thats when the night shift takes over, so two hours before sunset."

Hal nodded. "So the best time to nip it would be when he goes to sleep." Hal quietly popped his knuckles, loosening them up, eager to get started.
"Do we have anyone in the castle?"

Hal nodded. "Alright. Then if you will excuse me, sir, I'd better get started right away." Hal waited to see if Goodheart was done. If so, he would turn and head back the way he came.

Hal was used to working alone, but was a bit relieved to be paired up with someone. He hoped this Kole had more experience with this wormwood. Hal offered a friendly greeting to Kole. "Name's Hal."

The wizard/thief slapped Hal on the back. "Welcome aboard. Shall we head up to the Inn and discuss our plans over a drink or just make it up as we go?"

Kole lead the way. Up a flight of stairs and they were in the Inn. Named the Traveler's Inn it was the fanciest place in town and very busy. It was an open great room layout with the second floor rooms running along the walls so anyone standing on that floor could look down over the railing and see the entire first floor. The place was packed and very loud. A Pick pockets dream, though if caight it would be hard to get away in the living sea of people. Kole found a table that was being vacated as the two sat down. The seats were still warm. A barmaid miandered her way though the crowd over to the two thieves. "Whacha' havin'?" the ebony skinned woman asked. Kole ordered a bottle of house wine along with bread and cheese.

Hal kept his hands to himself for now. He didnt feel this was the time for unessesary risks.
After being seated, Hal only ordered a small sweetroll. After the barmaid leaves he leans a bit closer to Kole. "So, were you the one that performed this little job last time?"

Kole shrugged. "It was a group of us. Sadell, Loots, Frankie and myself work as a team for the most part. Sadell's the muscle, Loots is our bowman and look out, Frankie's the sneak and I'm the brains. Yeah we took the taxes last year. Pretty good score for the guild. Man did we piss off Wormwood." Kole grins at this last bit.

Hal chuckled. "You'll have to tell me the whole story sometime. Do you have any ideas on this years heist? How's your invisibility spells going?"
