I start these up now and again. I like to know what people are reading to enrich myself and broaden my material. As usual I am reading more then just one book.
First I have almost finished book one Betrayal in the newest Star Wars epic series Legacy of the Force Its kick ass so far as one of the main heroes kids is slipping to the Dark side. While Corelia (Han's homeworld) is fighting for Independence dividing the heroic families in two as they choose sides.
The second book I just picked up and am on chapter 3. It's a Warhammer Fantasy novel called Oathbreaker. In a nutshell a Dwarven stronghold has fallen to Goblins and Skaven (ratmen) and must be taken back. A great read for dwarf lovers so far.
Last while I was buying Oathbreaker My eye was caught and I was mesmerized by the first illustrated Novel by Brom called Plucker Here is the link: [ftp]http://www.theplucker.com/stuff.htm[/ftp] Wickedly morbid and entertaining. Can't wait to get this one though it is 25 bones. It's a lovely 8"x14" in size. Highly recommend it.

Well if you like reading to your girls I recommend a book called Fablehaven. Its a junior novel but holds enough interest for adults as well. Sort of Harry potterish but not as lengthy. Rough summery is two kids (brother and sister) are forced to stay 3 weeks at their grandparents estate only to find out that it is in reality a reserve for fairy folk. Cool concept and as I said, still a good read for adults as well as kids. It is a series but the first book is a stand alone that doesn't leave any real lose ends in case you don't want to tackle the rest of the books. I plan on buying book 2 soon.

I have been quite bookless for a while, due to the fact fact that I am still waiting on a certain book by Melanie Rawn. But I just recently borrowed Artemis Fowl from my sister in law in hopes that I might have time to read it, and My son has been reading Horns& Wrinkles by Joseph Helgerson, to me, for school.

Well you know my personal Library is always open to you. I finished the A. Fowl series. It's decent. They are not the best read but, make for good 'light' reads IMO (In My Opinion). The dwarf gets annoying as everything is related to his butt. (Don't tell the owner that! It's her fav. character. ) FableHaven is much better IMO.

The wife has been reading this one to Pablo. He loves it. They have me paying attention too. Pablo says book two is out, but he hasn't finished book one yet. We have also been into the Spiderwick books. I saw these well before the movie and convinced the family to check them out. We have liked them( and the movie too).

My sister in-law has the Spiderwick series and says their great. She is looking forward to the movie to see how they do a certain chapter. She had them well before as well. I figured you would like Plucker if you saw it. Lots of pictures. ;D

You would like Oathbreaker if you picked it up. ALL dwarfs ALL the time. Axes, Hammers, crossbows, miners, engineers, soldiers, scholars, thieves, slayers, tunnels, oaths, camaraderie, armies. It has it all. Part of it has a mine of Moria feel to it.

Well I finished Oathbreaker today. Damn good read. Feels like a cross between Mines of Moria segment from LoTR and 13th Warrior movie rolled up into one. Tragic, heroic, stoic with a nice Viking flavor that makes sense in a dwarf novel. Not one single human or elf in the whole book! This has my wheels a'turnin' so forgive any sudden dwarf flavor your games may experience.

Well with Oathbreaker finished, I am focusing on the StarWars books. Book two in the series is Blood lines. It continues Jacen Solo's rise as a Sith Lord and the Galactic Civil war. A side story concerns Boba Fett (now age 72) who is trying to hunt down one of the Camino scientists who worked on the Jenga Fett cloning project in order to save his life. He's dying and there is nothing normal medical science can do for him.
For those of you not keeping up, it is now 40 years after SW new Hope. Luke is the galaxies most renowned Jedi Master at age 58, has a son named Ben who is 13 and is tutoring under Jacen Solo. Liea and Han are both 60 and have 3 childen (all Jedi) Jacen, Jaena and Aniken. Jacen is becoming a Sith Lord, Jeana is a fighter Pilot and Aniken died 5 years ago while fighting an alien race from another Galaxy. Chewie died around the same time while (sort of) protecting Han and the kids. Boba Fett did not die in the stomach of the Sarlac as he was able to set off an explosion that set him free and killed the Sarlac. However he was badly scared, lost a leg and took years to recover under the protection of a woman whom he later married, had a daughter with and abandoned when she was 2 years old.

I am still struggling with and trying to finish Firestarter. I think I have been reading this for almost a year now. I did pick up another book. The Star Wars Trilogy. All parts in one paperback and you guessed it I am starting with Star Wars. This has nothing to co with Episodes 1-3, it is all old school, like my upcoming game.
