Would you have a map of this area, for my reference? On the site you have the city of Garrotten, the world and I believe it is the souther realm. Based on the the landmark of FT Brant I have a very high level view of the area. You'll have to interject any terrain type issues. I have a couple wonderful maps of the area! However when I bought my new PC back around christmas time I failed to realise that my scanner is an older modle with no usb conection available. So I am out of a scanner until I can buy another. With no scanner I have no ability to post the maps. 99% of all adventuring will be taking place in the Timiro Kingdom or edges of it's borders. You are currently in an area that Timiro is expanding into (slowly). They are settling furhter and further north, north west every few years. The area they are settling is called the Old Kingdom. Its a true wasteland filled with light forests and scrub plains inhabited by all the monster races. The area you will be looking for herbs in is a light forest area as well as the grasslands surounding Fort Brandt. The Timiro Kingdom Map will give you the best view. You will not be going off that map. We are talking 50 miles north of Ft. Brandt at most. Does that help?

When we break for lunch, I've noticed that Siff and Reek don't have rations noted. I believe Arthur would happily share his food with Siff, and I with Reek. That should also help to patch things with him. Yeah they didn't come with food. I did ask you if you wanted to go shopping first if you recall. Yes they can share. Though Arthur may be happy at first but remember he is a HALFLING. Halflings think about food and feeding their stomachs before ALL else.

one mroe thing, after I eat a little something, I'm going to meditate until the others finish up. I'll stop when they're ready and whatever points i can recover are fine. You gain six points per hour of uninterupted meditation. Because you are under no time retraints for compleation of this adventure I believe an hour for rest and lunch would be exceptable. 6 points it is.

Reeks is fully fleshed out. Because this is to be a solid group and the only thing you are lacking in is a true thief, I rounded him out with skills that made sense as well as filling in holes your group needed (skill wise) so between Reeks and Gaul you should be able to handle most thief oriented problems. Reeks is also a brute in combat. His abilities are impressive for level 1.

Thanks, sounds good. 6 points are fine. If need be we can either stop at the fort and pick up additional supplies. Or we can hunt along the way, or with a slight detour into the forest. we'll see what happens.

i didn't claim to have found that I found any herbs. That will be up to you to say where or not. I did move into the woods and if it wasn't clear we are also lined up side by side scanning the ground. I figured that as we get closer to the fort we can move deeper into the woods in order to avoid direct contact with the fort.
Looks like we might be doing some hunting later on for a nice hot dinner. Later in the early evening I would like to start watching for small prey like rabbits or something. If nothing else is available, we can try larger prey like deer. If nothing else I have enough food to feed Siff and Reeks. We'll wait to see what happens.

I like to twist with Reeks, very nice. So how did the guards sneak up on us if I had sixth sense running?

okay, I have sixth sense on, Reeks and I lean against trees, facing each other. I have my staff in hands. Reeks has his crossbos loaded and resting next to him and his warhammer in his hands. We each blankets drapped around us in order to break up our silhouettes until it gets dark enough to move around unnoticed. The fire should be low enough and small enough not too be visible from too far away.
There should be enough wood that half can be kicked into the pit to create a large bonfire in the event of an attack.

I assume the trees are on op. sides of camp not right next to eachother?

Ok, first things first. Got dice? d6? d20? % dice? Want to roll or do you want me to handle it?
Next. The tusker is charging you. This can not be blocked with any type of parry. We must first determine initiative. Highest on a d20 wins. You get a huge bonus with sixth sense. You have two actions per melee round. You can attack twice or attack once and dodge the charge. Spells would take to long. Psionics would be possible if you wish. However you only get 1 psionic attack per melee. This means you would forfeit any attempt at dodging.

I have no idea where my dice anymore. So yes, please make any necessary rolls for me.
Your description of the tusker sounds like boar, would this be accurate?

The group is forming a semi-circle with Arthur behind. As the others move in for their attacks, Firebug will drop back by Arthur where he will prepare his firebolt spell. When Firebug drops back, he and Arthur will move outward toward either side of the semi-circle for continued magical support.

However it does seem focused on you right now, and coming at you FAST. You have won initiative over the beast. The beast is second and then everyone else will be able to react. By reading what you wrote above are you using your first action in an attempt to retreat, as the other members close in?
