You know I just realized that I'm using Silverbeard as an NPC! From this point on You will play him as we intended. In order to do this you will notice a different feel/shift in my next post as I transfer him to you.

ok, I mean I didn't mind. I thought that you were doing this just because of the tracking process. No hard feelings

Damn I can't figure out how to post this without controling your character. Maybe you can do it.
This is what you know. Your first roll of 89 is a faliure so you have lost the track but regain it 15 minutes later with the 50 only to discover it leads in circles. Finally you regain the freshest tracks another 15 minutes later with the roll of 15%.
Now can you post that in character or am I being silly and should I just keep posting?
This is why I have trouble with characters like Rangers and other trackers. They just make more sense as NPC's then PC's. Have you had that issue in any of your games?

tell you what. For the time that were are tracking you may post to your hearts content. If this makes things easier I mean. Otherwise you have to post to tell me what you would have posted anyway. If this is a matter of "will I mind you running my character", don't give it a second thought.

yeah I have to tell you what I would have posted anyway. Thats the whole issue with trackers. It doesn't allow the players to 'shine' by telling the story themselves. A GM almost has to do it for them in those instances. ok, back to posting.

I want Gaul to use his track by scent to see if he can detect the troll.
Can we determine if the freshest tracks are leading up the passage or back down?
I'm thinking to follow the path up and if the troll isb't there then it might be a good spot for an ambush. We would have the high ground. How high is the passage? High enough for the troll to walk unobstructed?

ok, sorry its taking so long. I'll get back on track.
ok
Gaul failed his roll and Silverbeard needs to roll % for track humanoid once more to determine 'freshest tracks'.
Do you want me to post results or do you want Firebug to command/suggest these options?

I'll post the suggestions. Cool. Go for it and roll % for Silverbeard. I'll tell you up or down if he makes it and you can post from there.
