****The Neighbors****
Sull screwed up his face in thought. It looked painful. After a moment it relaxed back to normal. "Ok Stone."

****The Loft****
Firebug couldn't bring himself to take his eyes off the items in the Nilla's trinket box. These were clues, big clues and this was going to take time. He pulled a small empty pouch from his belt and put the stones in them, "We'll need to have someone familiar with local geology to determine where Nilla found these stones. It's possible she stumbled onto some's hidding place."
Kursaville took the pouch from Firebug and hung it on his belt, "Dwarves are usually good at knowing their rocks, i bet between Tull, Sull and Reeks, one of them will know something. What else do you have?" Kursaville smiled to himself and thought about how glad he was to have Firebug helping him on this.
Firebug next took out the blank piece of paper and held it up to the light. Then moved to the window to see better with even more light, "Don't you think it strange that a little girl that obviously likes to draw would leave such a fine piece of parchment completely untouched? There is neither a letter nor picture drawn upon this. Or maybe there is and we are just unable to see it."
Kursaville moved closer to Firebug and whispered, "You mean to say, that you believe this little girl stumbled onto some great conspiricy and was stolen away in the middle of the night to cover it up? Is everything a conspiricy to you?"
Turning the paper left then right, and flipping it over to examine the back, "I don't know anything..., yet. Give me time." Firebug turned finally to look at Kursaville, "I do have something that i need to confide in you and pray that you will keep between the two of us."
Kursaville cocked his head to the side in puzzlement, "Of course, what is it?"
"Well, I have some abilities that I'm going to try and use now. Some mental abilites and i need you to understand that this might lead us to a suspect but can also take time. I need you not interupt me while I meditate unless absolutely necessary. Okay?"
"You're psychic!? We use folks like you back home to..., to..., never mind. Go for it, I'll stall anyone who might try to interupt you. Do you need anything from me?"
Firebug put a hand on Kursaville's should and smiled, "thank you, but no I don't need anything at the moment."
Firebug sat cross legged on the floor with the charcoal pencil, the copper piece, and the little wooden figure layed out on the stool in front of him and picked up each one at a time.

****The Family**** "Cette, please take Emmi to her bed so she could rest," Tull ordered gently" But please come back I have a few questions to ask you further." Tull smiles a comforting smile.

****The Print**** Mason finds this to be strange. Sure any tracks could have been covered in the last 2 days, but why would this one track remain, 20 yards from the window leading to the girl's loft? There is no sign of entry, exit, as if she was spirited away. The father claimed the loft's window could not be opened. Mason carefully crosses the distance from the print to the window. Let me see if this window really can't be opened.

Lord Cette helped his wife to bed and returned to Siff and Tull. "What would you ask of me master Tull?"

****The Family**** Tull smiles," You said you accused Moonhaven of stealing your pitchfork," Tull repeated what Lord Cette said earlier," why would you jump to that conclusion other than his admiration. Has he stolen from you before? How are your relations? I for one am no that familiar with him, he keeps to himself and puts everyone off when they meet him. How is your relationship with him?" Tull smiles again and looks sincerely in Lord Cette's eyes. He does this out of respect and to try and see if there is any lying going on.

***The Print***
Mason walks to the back of the house. Even though it is early spring and feels like early summer there is still an ample amount of firewood piled up against the back of the house. It snows here in Garrotten but last winter was mild. Mason isn't much for climbing anything other then a tree, but the logs made it easy to scale the side of the house. On the top of the logs he was able to get a close up view of the small window. The mortar seemed solid and old and try as he might he was unable to wedge the little window out of place. There was however a small crack in the mortar. Not very wide it did allow light to pass through it. Nothing bigger then a bug could squeeze through. It didn't look as if Nilla was taken this way. Mason thought. He better report to Aiko and this Lord Kursaville chap.

***The Loft***
Firebug reached for the pencil and hesitated. He grabbed the statue instead. It reminded him so much like his own good luck charm he just had to know its history. He held it firmly and relaxed. blanking his mind he focused on the child Nilla.
Blackness. Nothing at all. Firebug opened his eyes and frowned. It happened some times. An object would reveal nothing. Disappointed but unable to get a good 'read' on the statue he tried the coin. Picking it up he noticed something he hadn't at first glance. The coin was not struck here in Timiro. Coming from 'Old Timiro' City Firebug was familiar with all kinds of local currency. This copper piece was from another part of the world. One he didn't recognize. Filing that bit of info away for later he again tightened his grip on the coin and focused on Nilla.
<Nillas face came in a flash. She was pretty with golden curly hair and rosy cheeks. Her eyes sparkled with an amber glow. ANTICIPATION! DARKNESS! FEAR! JOY!>
Firebug woke with a start. He was covered in sweat and shaky. The feelings were strong and definitely Nillas at the time she came in contact with the coin. That much he was sure of. He heard a cough behind him and he looked about. Lord Kursaville stood nearby with a frown upon his face. "How long?" Firebug asked.
"'Bout ten minutes." The knight replied. "Anything useful?"
"Yes...but I'm not done." With no further delay he grabbed up the pencil and once again focused on Nilla.
<A blur of color and light. DARKNESS. A girl, NILLA! In the dark. FEAR! DISPAIR! CONFUSION! Nilla's face was dirty and bruised. She struggled against rope bindings on her feet and hands. This was right now. Firebug could sense it. The walls were rough and misshapen. She tried to cry out but her mouth was gagged with a filthy rag. Her wrists were bleeding from her efforts.>
Again Firebug snapped awake. "She's alive! She's underground or in a cave. She's bound and frightened but she IS alive."
The knight stood tall. "All that from touching some trinkets?"
"Yes..and..I'm not finished." Firebug crawled to the girls bed and lay upon it. gripping straw in both hands he once again concentrated.
<CHOKING! NO AIR! CAN'T SEE! DISORIENTATION! Firebug has a sensation of coming apart. At being everywhere at once.>
"AHHH." Firebug wakes with a start. he is shaky and disoriented. His body feels heavy and unresponsive. His mouth is dry like sand and someone is there next to him. Kursaville?
"Good god man. What are you doing to yourself? You look ill." The knights voice seemed on edge and worried.
Firebug could not stop now. "Almost...done." He whispered the spell of magic that came to him naturally. A spell to seek out magic. He quickly looked away from the small blank parchment. Its aura of magic was so strong the blue light it gave off blinded him. With eyes shut he felt for the magical residue he was sure was still there within the house. The whole room had a faint magic feel to it but it could be the parchments interference. Stronger emanations came not from the window as he expected but from down stairs. It was strong as the parchment but,...moving.

****The Print**** Mason returns to the print before he goes back to the house with his reports. Mason has found in his life and through his faith, that some mysteries only need to be seen from different angles to get closer to finding the answers. So Mason scans the area behind the print and looks for the tallest tree to climb. Then he climbs to its highest height and looks upon the house from the eagle's point of view.

***The Loft***
Firebug lept to his feet in a panic. Still squinting he took the parchment and quickly stuffed it into a pouch. He tried to focus again on magic, hoping that with the parchment concealed he could see better. "Lord Kursaville, bring our clues we have to get downstairs. There is something very magical in this house, and it's moving this way." Firebug hurried toward the ladder and climbed down as fast as he could without breaking his neck in the process.
Lord Kursaville watched for the top of the ladder, "Did you say moving? Wait, do you mean like a man, a man concealed by magic?"
"I sure hope it's a man." Firebug closed his eyes again and tried to feel the magic again, "It's fading, but I think I have general idea of where it which way it was going. We have to gather the rest of the group."
Lord Kursaville hurried down the ladder, "What did you see? Tell me what's happening."
"I'll explain on the way," Firebug replied. "Tull and Siff, please stay with the family. We'll be back as soon as we can." Firebug walked Lord Kursaville out the door and explained as much as he could.

***Neighbors***
Aiko and Sull pounded on the door of the cabin belonging to the trapper. The man that opened the door was...unexpected. The trapper was grisly and almost wild looking. Dressed in similar cloths like Mason he was covered in scraps of leather and furs with feathers sticking out or tied to various areas. What made him odd however was the fact that he wasn't human. This man was a hobbit, compete with pipe and bare feet.
"Can I help you?"

****The Print****
Firebug and Kursaville stepped outside, shoulder to shoulder as Firebug whispered into his ear. They paused for a minute, looking around. "Wasn't that ranger fellow, Mason, out here earlier?" Firebug asked over his shoulder.
Scanning the other direction Lord Kursaville answered, "He was, I saw him from the window upstairs. Look over there," Lord Kursaville pointed to the little flag in the ground, "I bet he found something. Is that him in the tree over there?"
Firebug rubbed his temples, "I'm getting pretty tired and my head is starting to hurt. Have him find Stone and Sull. Then they will have to catch up to us. I'm going to follow this magical thing for a little bit before I lose it. After you speak with Mason, please catch up to me." With that, Firebug walked quickly away.
Lord Kursaville scratched his head as he watched Firebug walk away. "Damned psychics, strange, strange people." He then jogged over to the tree and spoke with Mason, passing on the directions. "When you're found them, please catch up to us if you can. We'll then go over our notes and we'll see what we have found." Kursaville then hurried after Firebug after the short exchange with Mason.

****The Neighbors**** Aiko looks at Sull with surprise. He looks back at the trapper and bows. Rising back to full height, but still looking the trapper in the eyes," Hello my friend, I am Stone and this is my brother Sull. We need your help. A great tragedy has fallen upon this community( Stone sweeps his right arm in a circular motion to encompass the three homes) and we need your help to correct it. Master Fox, The young Nilla of the D'encre House( Stone points at the house encase the trapper didn't know) had disappeared two nights ago. Please tell us anything you may remember from that night. We are investigators under Lord Kursaville's rule and need anything you could give to help find Nilla and bring her home alive."

****The Neighbors**** "We have quite a group to search her our selves, friend Fox," Stone explains," But most of us are strangers to this region. I am not sure of the other group, but my brothers Tull and Mason are from here and they have an insight, so any insight you could bring would be helpful. Would you like to return with us and meet your neighbors?"
