***The Family***
The group searched in vain. "Lord Kursaville or Firebug must have the rocks with them. They must have seen them as clues." Siff reasoned.
"Without my permission?" Cette noted a little put out.
"They were in a hurry. I'm sure they meant no disrespect." She assured.
"No, no. Your right. Whatever they need." Cette said calmer now.
His emotions are becoming as erratic as his wifes. thought Tull. "Maybe its time we left and looked for the others." He suggested.
"We were ordered to stay here and wait." Siff commanded.
Tull scoffed. "They headed to town. We'll find them." Without waiting for a reply Tull headed out.
Feeling a bit awkward Siff followed reluctantly.

***The Chase***
The knight followed the mystic into town. The streets were busy. People were pulling, pushing and setting up carts, tents and stands of various types. Some sort of market day pehaps Kursaville mused.
The Mystic Firebug weaved in and out of traffic, dodging people, asking pardons and moving them asside when they were not quick enough. The magic aura was stronger now but his spell was fading. He quickly recast it. The aura flared anew and was directly ahead. He scanned the crowd. THERE! A blue glow just infront of that man. Stone? Was that Stone and Sull? Firebug called out to them. They turned and looked at him. Firebug slowed...crest fallen. The glow. The moving magic he'd been chasing. There it was. Somekind of Medallion around Stones neck.
Kursaville stood by with labored breath.

****The Chase**** " Firebug! What is it?" Stone asked with confusion," Did you find something?" Stone began making his way toward Firebug and Lord Kursaville.

***The Chase***
Firebug could feel the heat rising in his face, part anger, part embarrassment. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. He stood in front of Stone with his head bowed for a long, uncomfortabily silent minute.
Lord Kursaville finally caught up to Firebug, "Stone, Sull, I'm glad you boys were able to catch up. Firebug has been chasing something all the way from the house. So where to now?"
Firebug never raised his head, "We're already here." He then raised a hand and pointed to the medallion hanging from Stone's neck, "It's right there. I've been chasing that thing. It glows like the sun and I could see it from a hundred paces."
Kursaville shifted uncomfortably, "Well this is a little embarrassing. But, uh, I'm glad you boys are here, because I have another matter which I needed you help with. We found these stones in Nilla's room. Firebug believes that they come from a cave in the area and that Nilla may have visited it and someone may be hidding her there now." He handed the pouch with the orange rocks to Stone.
Firebug finally raised his head and looked Stone in the eyes, "Where did you get that. It is incredibly powerful and glows with the same magic intensity as a piece of parchment we also found in Nilla's room. What can you tell me about your medallion's enchantment?"

****The Chase**** "Nothing, Firebug," Stone admitted, he held the rocks in his hand feeling their texture," I am keeping it from an evil Dragon Wolf. Stone now looks at the rocks.

****The Chase****
Between the mental exhaustion and the futility of this mad romp through town, Firebug was a little edgy, "What? How can you say nothing. That thing glows like the sun and a Dragon Wolf wants it. I think either of those should classify that medallion as something. The only other thing that I've seen glowing brighter then that medallion was a piece of parchment from Nilla's room. I can see nothing special but can you check it for magical wards maybe?"
Firebug handed the pounch with the parchment in it to Kursaville, "Here, I really need to sit down a moment." Firebug found a nice shady patch out of the city's foot traffic and closed his eyes.
Lord Kursaville stood watching Stone as he examined the rocks, "Would you be able to tell which cave they came from? Firebug feels strongly that if we can find that cave then we will find Nilla."
