Being at the back of the group already, Firebug begins pushing the group foward, there is no time for hesitation, "Get moving, now," he roared.

Firebug rushes forward only to have Aiko reach back and grab him by the arm and dive to the entrance with him in tow. Siff gets disoriented in the shuffle. Already uncomfortable in the unfamiliar underground setting she stumbles and crawls the wrong way.
Ton after ton of rock, and dirt fall and bury the entire Chamber. When the dust settles Aiko and Firebug take stock of the situation. Both have taken hits by rocks (6 hp each) but are otherwise unharmed. The others....are not so lucky. Halfhelm can be seen half buried in rock. His Head is bleeding and he is groaning softly. Siff is nowhere to be seen.

"We have to get Halfhelm out. He's still alive. I don't think Lady Siff was so lucky. I think she must have gotten turned around and passed me going the other direction. What about you? Are you okay?" Firebug coughed and tried to wave the dust away, "Do you think this next section is any better?"

" I am fine," Stone replies," Let us free this dwarf and find the girl." Stone begins working on clearing some of the debris to get Halfhelm out.

Firebug begins pulling at the rocks with Stone's aid with the larger rocks until they worked down to the point that they could finally pull Halfhelm free.

Halfhelm becomes more and more alert as the two dig him free. A quick check reveals that while he is severely battered and bruised (-30 hp, 1/2 spd, -2 strike/parry/roll and -3 to dodge) His dwarven skull seems well intact.
After only a couple of minutes fussing over him he's had enough. "I'll be fine lads. Leave me here to rest a bit and go find that girl. Then we'll figure out how to get the hell out of here. As it stands, we're trapped and the Lord knows if that priestess made it."
Aiko needed no further coaxing. He turned and continued down the corridor but this time paying a little more attention to his surroundings. He would do little Nilla no good buried under rock and stone. Firebug followed on his heels.
The tunnel continued to twist and turn but there were no side passages so Aiko focused entirely on the tunnel. It wasn't long, perhaps fifteen minutes when the two noticed it. A side passage had been carved into the left hand side of the wall. A simple glance revealed this secondary tunnel used wood support beams instead of the stone ones they had become accustomed to. Snagged on one of the side beams was a minute piece of yellow cloth. The bright color stood out in great contrast to the mines grey on grey interior.
Nilla was last seen in a yellow smock.

"Stone here, look. Doesn't this tunnel odd compared to the rest of what we have seen of this mine? And that cloth looks very much like what Nilla would have been wearing when she had been taken. Does your sense tell you anything of this tunnel? Give me a moment please to examine this cloth." Said Firebug excitedly but in a loud whisper fearing another cave in. He reached out and stroked the material softly at first feeling the soft cloth on his skin. Then balling it up in his fist and focused.

FEAR! CONFUSION! LONGING DESIRE FOR HOME! Firebug could see Nilla this time. Hands and feet tied, mouth gagged. A wooden plate of food beside her. A cavern, no a cave glittering with gold. Firebug could see sunlight filtering in.

"Stone, she's still alive but very scared. She's bound and gagged in a cave where the walls are glittering with gold. There is also an opening in the ceiling, so that might be how she found this place and how we can get out."

" Firebug," Stone finally divulges," It is this cave of gold I have been searching for. If she is bound and gagged, I want to know why. It was my assumption that young Nilla was got herself caught up in something that made her a victim of someone's greed. This is why I wanted to come in here tonight and not tomorrow. If someone here is kidnapping little girls to hide their gold, justice must be served. I don't know if Halfhelm is to blame, but hopefully with the news of this gold and the possibly the news of catching someone who tried to take his gold, maybe Halfhelm could be a little more forgiving of the door." Stone begins to move forward, still tracking the gold.

"You may be right Stone, gold might not also change a Dwarfs' mind but someone trying to steal it should would." Firebug followed quickly behind Stone as they moved down the new tunnel.

The tunnel continued for a god half mile. More wood supports were seen along the way. This tunnel just like the other side passages was only five feet high. Suddenly the tunnel opened up into a natural looking cave. thin Gold veins could be seen in the walls. Barrels and crates were stacked in various places in small piles of three to five each. Mining tools could be seen here and there against the walls. A small hole, maybe 3 feet wide in the ceiling, 8 feet overhead filtered in sunlight. Nilla could be seen sitting against the wall at the opposite end some twenty feet away. In the middle of the caves chamber was Fox the Halfling trapper. He wore studded leather armor under his furs and was holding a Throwing axe in his left hand and a wicked looking, serrated, skinning knife in his right.
"I thought I heard someone in my tunnel. It should have taken years to find that passage!" Fox snarrled. The gold is mine and I can't let you live to tell others about it."

Stone turns sheet white," Sull was right," Stone admitted. His face quickly flashes red with anger," WHERE IS NILLA HOBBIT!"

Firebug fans out, putting some distance between Stone and himself in an effort of flanking Fox. He says nothing as he moves, hoping that Stone's yelling would be enough to buy him some time.

Fox stands aside so Stone can have a clear view of the girl tied up against the far wall. "She followed me one day without me knowing. When I discovered her telling her father about the gold she had found I almost killed them both right then and there. How pleased I was to find that she had only taken that orange lime stone and not the real gold. Cette believed it was just another of her adventures." The hobbit says this in disgust as he tells his tale. "It was later that I found out that the little thief had taken something else as well. Do you know what that was?" He asked defiantly.
