Cool. Enjoy. You don't need much to play. Just one pack for testing. Though two is better. If you need any rules clearified, Let me know. I've argued them all. Remember while sinking a persons fleet ends the game, he who has the most gold wins the game. I learned that little difference the hard way. Lost a $100 gift certificate to a comic store because of it.

Well that should do nice as a starter. I really recomend playing withmostly one faction. Each faction has a style of combat and abilities that make it unique. When you blend them all up it can be fun but you have different game mechanics. I tend to play all British with 10% of my point value from other factions. I'd play test with 30 points. An average game is 40 points. We here tend to play 50-100 point games, but they last longer. In a 30 point game you should have two ships plus some crew. Take a fast ship with 3-5 cargo for getting gold and a 3 or 4 masted ship with 2's and 3's for guns as a destroyer.

Any time. I really do like that game so I'll talk all night about it.
Not tonight though. I'm going to heal Aiko and go to bed. I have to get up early.

I had planned to but got side tracked with Pirates. I have been thinking of reworking Snake Eyes for the King Pin game. Way different concept then any of the previous incarnations.

So GM, do you do the comic book conventions? Or do you play this stuff at local stores/clubs? I used to referee Marvel Overpower card tournies here for 3 years before Wizzer of the Coast bought it and screwed it up. Never saw games like what you guys are talking about. 'Course I don't have many friends around here that I would play board or card games with. Since I don't drink there are some people that feel uncomfortable with me around "watching" them. Now at the conventions I did see some folks playing a weird eqyption style card game that looked mechanically difficult but they said the system was pretty easy, don't know the name.

I can honestly say I have never been to a Comic Con or Game Con, though I always wanted to. I always played card games and constructible games at local hobby and game stores. The $100 gift certificate was the purse given out to the winner of Pirates of the Spanish Main in a comic store based in Redlands California. I came in second do to 3 bad rulings. If any of them would have been ruled correctly I would have won the Tournament. However this was very early on when the game first came out so a lot of the rules were open to interpretation at the time. That was the best I ever did in a tournament.

I am seriously thinking of making arrangements to go to the Comic Con in San Diego next year. The one this year is coming soon, but I won't be able to go, maybe you can come too GamesMaster?

I finally opened the tin and started making my ships. I broke 1 and faithnhope97 broke 1 too. I did make a Sea Dragon. What's up with that?
