"Really? Uh SURE! Thank you Stone." Replied the excited Halfling.
Brigs turns away from you both to take first watch. "Fine by me, just make sure you get enough rest Tull. I know this journey is hardest on you little folk. I'll see that you ride first with Lady Klarina."
"Sure thing Brigs." Tull turns to Aiko. "Gotta get some sleep Stone. Don't forget to wake me."

Stone wakes and watches Briggs go and lay down. Stone walks over to Tull and wakes him, " Could you please tend the fire, Tull?" Stone asks in a commanding tone," I am going to walk the parameter." Stone walks the the camps peering into the black night. This has already become more than what was expected, since he left the temple. The lessons learned are hard ones, he hopes that his mistake won't cause him pain. Stone's thoughts were interrupted by the sudden stirring of his good friend Mason. Stone was not within 2 yards of Mason's "perch" when Mason woke," How are you m'friend?" Mason asked and suddenly looked out in the wild. Stone could sense Mason's urgency and then heard loud rustling out in the woods," Tull! Wake the others!" Stone commanded as Mason jumped down to the ground with Sword in hands.

"What...?" is all Aiko spoke before being silenced by Mason with an outstretched hand. More rustling was heard further to the right this time. The mule and Horse became agitated as well. Tull could be heard waking the others as quietly as he could. Even more rustling and then a glimpse...."Tiger!" Mason hissed to Aiko. "Damn it! It's after the beasts. We need to scare it off before it pounces!" With that Mason jogged toward the direction of the Timiro Tiger now crouched somewhere at the camps perimeter.

Stone begins to breathe slow, rhythmic. To everyone else, it would look as if Stone was dancing a strange slow dance, but Stone is actually enacting an ancient Earthmaster Kata to produce all of the loose soil to whip up in the air and create a thick dust cloud. He aims this to separate the tiger from the horse and mule. OOC: If you can't tell, I would like to create a dust storm around the tiger to separate him from our animals. Hopefully this is will disorient the beast and spook it too, so it will take off the other way.

Mason comes to a stuttering halt as a thick cloud of dust and dirt appears before him, surrounding the tiger. A Yowl is heard from the great cat and it scampers off into the night.
Mason laughs hardily. "Ha! Go back to sleep my friends. Stone has saved us all it appears."

After the cloud settles to the ground. Stone takes one final glance out into the wild. After Stone is satisfied that the tiger or anything else for that matter is not going to return to the camp," Yes, my friends, it seems that the tiger is gone. You can go back to sleep."

Only a couple hours later, the group breaks camp and eats a cold meal onthe move to save time. Everyone is determined to get the bonus gold. Shortly afer setting off Mason trots back from his forward scouting position.
"Riders! Three, maybe four riding hard by the looks of the dust cloud. The sun is shining off enough metal to outfit a small army."

Stone is unsure this is something to worry about. If these riders are riding hard, they must have an agenda beyond this group of package delivers. If it is solders or watchman they wouldn't ride so hard to do a patrol of the road. If they are brigands, why would they make such a display of their coming? They can't be the "unknown" since they are ahead of them. " I believe it is best to simply get out of their way and proceed with our duty," Stone declares. Stone thinks this is the best course of action, but he is a stranger to these parts.

Brigs agrees. "Lets stay out of their way folks." Everyone gets off the road by a good 20 yards. Klarina pulls her sword and holds it down out of site. Sull hides behind Masons legs and Tull stands next to Stone. Earl appears oblivious to the whole situation as he studies the wards.
Not ten minutes pass when the 3 Riders crest the next rise and come into view. They are all decked out in full suits of Plate & Chain. A crest of a red bear can be easily seen on sircoats and shields. They ride past the group without so much as a glance.

Mason remains silent but it is Tull the halfling that comes up with a response.
"That was the crest of the Timiro Merchant Guild private guard. My Uncle hired them once to protect some wares he was having delivered. Very expensive and very professional."

"Well let's keep going," Stone replies," Let us hope they are not looking for these packages for some reason."

The rest of the day went without incident until just before sundown when Mason came back to the group and suggested they make camp up ahead. Earl suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs. "Ha-Ha!" and then in an excited but lower volume. "The diabolical wardings of protection are definitely a class seven binding nexus of the 3rd degree of artomancy. This one here appears to be the center plexus for the whole inner chamber linking them all consecutively and numerically as well as elementally to the one to its immediate left anti-magical counterpart. If I try and break the binding of any of the nexus' coaxial or even vertical linear wards the whole thing will activate, causing a mass chain reaction of spell defensive matrixi of a complexity level that I can't begin to fathom at my current rating in Diabolical physics and rune comprehension. However I do believe that these other Bindings are completely inert and could be handled without breaking the wards of the inner chamber itself, thereby allowing us to handle them with minimal to no discomfort and only a minor probability of accidentally, whether by design or not of affecting and there by activation of the greater plexus." ooc: roll % for language skill.

Stone stares at the gnome. Then he looks to Tull with a vacant stare. Back to Earl with a nervous smile.

The whole group is silently staring at the gnome.
Earl looks at everyone in turn and lets out a long sigh.
"Blimm is more experienced then I . I can't break his wards. However this one crate appears to be the only one really being protected. All the others...I believe have false or just weak wards on them allowing us to handle them with little effect. Though there MAY be a small chance of accidentally setting off the main wards killing both Brigs and Stone. We're stuck."
