The group had debated on burial for the dead but they all felt the need to reach Arian soon, not to mention the fact that Aiko and Brigs were already moving on with the mule in tow. They made camp as usual and the night was uneventful. They reached Arian with a sigh of relief by midmorning.
Tabor was easy to find. Brigs just grabbed the first peasant he saw and asked. "We're looking for an elf named Tabor. Blond hair, Blue eyes. Said he'd be in the council building. Know of him?"
The peasant yanked his arm free and rubbed the area where Brigs grabbed him. "Aye mi'Lord, I know 'em. He be at the council building sure 'nugh. That two story building over yon." The young peasant then went on his way hurriedly.
"Damn Brigs. You didn't have to man handle the poor chap." Lady Klarina remarked.
"Shut your trap woman. Us men folk don't listen to you, remember." Brigs spat back over his shoulder as he began making his way to the council building.
The 100 foot wide, 60 foot long, two story building had a single story covered porch overhanging the front entryway. While the nicest and most well kept building in the village it was still plain to look at with 4 windows per side on the second floor. They had shutters but no glass. The first floor portrayed one long, slit of a window to either side of the great double doors made of oak. Brigs noted to the group how this building probably doubled as a fortress during raids or attacks.
A lone guard was standing in front of the closed doors looking bored but with eyes intent on the approaching group. Mason murmurs to Aiko with a grin. "Stone. Why don't you take the initiative before Brigs opens his mouth and gets us barred from entering?"

"Good Guard," Stone quickly announces," We bring gifts from Garrotten from Bernard Blimm to your master,Tabor Samila. May we present them to him?" Stone looks to the guard, meeting his eyes as he bows. He shows respect to the guard and his position. He stands tall and straight, never taking his eyes away from the guards.

The guard cups his chin with one hand and scratches the corner of his mouth with a finger as if pondering what to say.
"Those be the parcels on thae mule?" He finally asked. Nods from more then one party member confirmed it.
"Alright then. You want to unload the mule and bring them inside please?"

Stone begins to unload the mule, not asking for anyone's help. Briggs also begins to grab some of the packages. They all enter the Hall and bring the packages inside.

The guard hands you over to a clerk or page of somekind. The young Elf boy leads you upstairs and through a door into a large room with a window overlooking the front or Eastern portion of the building. The parcels are not heavy and easy to carry. Making sure not to break any of the wards seals the party safly delivers them to their owner. Tabor Samila, the blond haired, blue eyed elf described to you greets you all with...confusion.
"What is the meaning of this? You are not the knights I sent to Blimm. Who are you and how have you come by these parcels?"

"We were hired by Bernard Blimm to bring these " parcels" to you," Stone replied with a bow," Your knights, were they of the Trade Guild, wearing symbols of red bears?"

"Yes they were. That proves nothing except that you may have killed them and come here to collect the payment for them. Do you have proof you are from Blimm?" Tabor does not appear hostile when he says this, only curious.

" My name is on some of the Parcels," Stone says matter of faculty," I am Aiko. He put my name there to keep us...er... honest. He mentioned something hostile to follow us. Maybe that killed your men, but we did not. We have some articles of those men's possession to present for identification. We also can take you to them. We were in such a hurry to get you your parcels we could not make burial for them. Once you see them you will recognize no man could have killed them like that. It was the work of a Chimera." Stone pulls out his notebook and hands it to Tabor," Now please, write a letter to master Blimm, telling him we arrived today with your parcels unharmed and sign it so he knows you approve," Stone says this as, more or less, an order, but calmly and gently," When you are done we will make arrangements to retrieve your men so their families can give them good burial." Stone smiles keeping his eyes trained on Tabor.

Brigs speaks up at this point.
"Yes, PLEASE take these parcels. I am bound to them as well as Aiko here and I very much wish to be free of them."
The High Elf smiles. "Do not fear my friends." Tabor signs the letter. "I believe your story. Though I am alarmed at the deaths of the three knights. If you leave the belongings with me, I have a contact with the guild here in Arian. I can make arrangements for the bodies." Tabor reaches for the parcels and mumbles a few words of power. Some of the symbols on one of the packages flare with green mage light and die. "There. The two of you are free of the warding spells." He then proceeds to open that parcel. Within are some religious Icons of The Elven Trinity and a gold medallion disk of the sun. Tabor places the heavy chained disk around his neck as a necklace.
"Thank you my friends. Let me escort you out. I believe Blimm is handling your pay but let me give you something for bringing the belongings of the knights at the door. Elrind?" Tabor called. The young elf boy runs up and bows before him. "Elrind. Go fetch my strong box and meet me down stairs at the door so I may pay these good travelers. The boy trots off and Tabor walks with you down stairs. "So tell me. How was the trip north and why pray tell Lord Aiko do you believe it was a Chimera that attacked the three Knights?"

Stone bows and raises," The wounds the men received were that of a vicious attack. The beast not only had claws, fire and it flew," Stone replies as if he is an expert upon the subject.

"Well I can assure you that it was not in fact a Chimera that befell them. The creature is similar in many ways however and just as dangerous and perhaps more cunning."
The party reach the doors of the building and the elven boy is waiting with the strongbox before him.
"Excellent Elrind. Thank you." Tabor takes the box and unlocks it with a key from a small pouch at his side. Sull looks on eagerly to see the contents but is to short. Tabor removes a pouch that makes the tell tale sound of clinking coin. "It is not much I'm afraid but the Guild will reimburse me for it when they receive the belongings. Thank you again for bringing them with you. The log book alone is very valuable to the Guild. Tabor looks out upon the village. "Ahhh! Blimms Mule. Splendid beast. Make sure he gets her back safely. I've always been fond of her. If that will be all there is a small but clean Inn just over there if you intend on staying. Good bye."

Tabor doesn't get halfway to the door when the guard lets out a shout.
Everyone turns to see what the now frantic looking man is looking at. In the middle of the street, some 20 feet away is a wolf looking creature. This wolf is large, standing three and a half feet tall, smoky grey in color and soulless eyes. Its front paws appear almost human, its tail is thick, long and scaly like a serpents. Giving it even more menace is its great leathery wings sprouting from the wolfs shoulders.
"Wherrrrre is my medallion?" It growls.

As the first person to speak the creature apProches Aiko slowly. "Ye...ye...ye...yes my Medalion you sniveling, pethetic human!" The wolf-thing mocks. "Those Guild knights werrre verrry detailed in theirrr accounts of the situation. They inforrrmed me beforrre they died that the medalion had been in carrre of an independent group to deliverrr to Taborrr herrre. Finding Taborrr was easy but I didn't know what you all looked like until now. So I ask again Wherrre is my MEDALION!"
Tull steps inbetween Aiko and the wolf like creature with dagger drawn. Mason seems to be moving slowly to the creatures side but the rest of the group seem rooted to the ground. "We delivered it to Tabor obviously so leave Stone alone." Tull yells as menacingly as a halfling can.
"Yeeeah he's got it. Leave me out of this." Brigs stammers while pointing to Tabor.

Stone's throat becomes incredibly dry. He can't speak. So he begins a fit of uncontrollable weeping. The creature is terrifying him.
