Grumbling and mockingly Barbarius speaks,"Unless these centaurs have legions of soldiers and heavy siege weapons, they would be lucky to take this tower down in a month." He glances at Bane with a red furious with anger. "ALRIGHT! WINDILLIA, IS IT? How you suggest we stop 'im? Does this Council o' Nine, look to 'im cause he's the toughest or what? Would they respect someone tougher? How 'bout I go over there and kick Whinnay's hairy butt so yer council can see what will happen if they if even try to over come this piece o' tha rock! What yer mean, sick an' fevered?

Windillia looks at the dwarf. "Well...yes, taking him out of the equation would stop this madness of his. He is thinking like a human. It's horrible."
Xan perked up at the direction the conversation was going. "Now Windy you know I abhor violence of any kind."
Sunny interrupted. "Sir with all do respect, let us handle this for you. Your a Monk. Handling hostiles is just our kind of work." Sunny turns to the others. "The key will be to take care of this Whinnay before he gets here with his war machines. What do you all think?" He looks to everyone.

"LET ME AT 'IM SUNNY! I 'LL SHOW 'IM THE ERROR OF HIS WAYS!" Barbarius barks, flinging spit in his fury," Then the rest of ya can go on an' figure out the rest of the trip. Windy here can take me in ta get close." He smiles at the centaur.

Bane ran his hand up his muzzle and pressed against the base just below his eyes, this was going to be bad. Assassination is not an honorable thing and Bane could feel the sickness bubbeling in his belly.
Opening his eyes Bane found Barb suddenly very interested in horse grooming and wanted to shut them again before he got sick. Turning to look at Sunny, "we can not attack him when he is with the rest of the tribe or we will be up to our tails with angry centaurs. Somehow we would have to split Whinnay from the rest of the herd, so to speak. However, there is no honor in an assassination, so I agree that Barbarius would be perfect for this job." Bane shot a quick glance to barb when another thought came to mind.
Bane cocked his head slightly to the side, " Yet I do have to say that something doesn't smell right. Windillia why would you risk coming here to warn Xan and the rest of us? Surely you would be killed should your presense here be found out unless you were supposed to come here to warn. Perhaps a group of strangers killing this Whinnay would be just the push your clan needs to declare war. What assurances do we have of your intentions?"

"To be honest I care nothing for you all, except for Xan. Whinnay is mad. He can't be allowed to sway the council so. He must be stopped. When he has been put to pasture another will take his place. One more level headed, without thoughts of humanizing my kind."
Xan spoke up again at this point. "As for trusting her I vouch for her. Windi has been my closest friend within the centaur tribes and is perhaps the most pacifistic as well, though that seems to have changed with this ghastly business of killing." He said this last obviously a little put out.
"I'm sorry Xan. I see no other way. He is truly sick in the head. Capturing him would just as surely kill him." Windillia pleaded.
"I'm not comfortable with Barbarius doing this alone. He'd kill the lot of them wouldn't you slayer?" Sunny comented.
"I could do it and catch up to you all later." Meylon offered.

"No, Sunny," Barbarius replies impatiently," I want to make an example of this Whinay character and to do that I need survivors. Meylon here has the right methods to do it quite like, but I purpose making more of a statement with my kill. I want them to realize that his thinkin' only gets you hurt bad. Get Me?"

"It pains me to think not only that this is the best way but that Barbarius is actually..., right." Bane ran his hand through his fur, lost in thought for a moment then he continued, "Xan, if you trust Windi then I want to help make things right. I will go with Barbarius when he faces Whinay, only to prevent any of the others from interfering with your fight of course. So where do we find Whinay?"

"I'll take you to him." Windi stated happily. "Thank You. Thank you all."
Sunny took charge as was his way, "Alright. Barbarius, Bane. You two go with Windillia here and fix this. Xan, myself, Meylon and the rest will head out toward...our destination as planned. I'm sure the two of you'll have no trouble finding us later once you've tidied things up. Agreed or do you need more back up? I'll spare one more person if you want."

Bane shrugged, "I'm fine," turning to Barbarius, "you need someone to carry your tankard for you?"

Marrissa stepped forward. "I'll go if they'll have me. I have to go where the action is if I'm going to tell the tale." The bard winked at Barbarius as she dangled her magical tankard from her index finger.

" I don't care who goes," Barbarius barks," Just lemme at this ass so we can get this show on the road. Barbarius is more interested in taking care of business than ale right now.

Bane shook his head slowly, "fine, Marrissa you may come but please try to stay out of the way. Anyone else?" Looking at the remaining faces, Bane finally turned to Windi, "I think we should get going now."

The four adventurers parted ways with the others and began the journey to stop Whinnay. Outside, Windilla retrieved her odd hammer/staff and clip-clopped along at a pace the others could keep up with. "It should take us about an hour to reach the camp. With luck we will arrive before they move out. The weapons of war will slow them down for they are made from great trees and must be pulled by a quad of centaurs each. What is our plan of action?" she asked curiously.

"Marrissa will announce that Xan has sent a champion to settle this war that Whinnay wants to start. She will announce that Whinnay must face this champion in combat to prove his worth. This fight will determine the war. If Whinnay wins, the tower is his, if the champion wins, me, the centaurs need to back off," Barbarius explains," Course, Marrissa, will say it better. Anyway, I will be hiding behind the pup here during all of this, so they will see him. When Marrissa announces me and I come out, I hope it will unbalance him, giving me more of an advantage. Then I will kill him and get it over with. With no more Whinnay, you have the chance to tell these jokers to knock it off." Barbarius turns to Windillia and checks out her reaction to this plan.

"Oh, I have a bad feeling about this. I'll go along with it but we have to make a good show of it. Windilla and Marrissa you will both have to act as impartial representatives. Speak only of the champion without giving a name. I will do my best to look intimidating and announce the champion. When Barbarius moves forward to fight, that should definitely shake them."
