"Constable Ritage keeps the peace within town but, his lordship, Baron Brutus VonLeetee is the rightful ruler. I could run a mesasage to either if you like sire."
The bandit was trussed up with manacles as the squad of soldiers prepared to leave. Grey had un-nocked his bow and looked ready to travel when they were.

INDEED! Einhard exclaims I must see your Baron, but I would also like to see your Constable too. I have business to attend to within and then I will seek out Gray at your Constable's Office after my business is finished. Then maybe you may take me to your Baron?

"By your leave then Sire. Just ask for me by name at the castle gate when you are ready."
With that the Sergeant, his squad and Grey headed for the Constible's office.
"What now Mi'Lord?" Friedrick inquired.

Einhard turns to Friedrick with an arched eyebrow and a confused look, To the stables of course. I have to see Drin. Taking the lead, Einhard walks back to the stables.

Tidbit sighs. "I'll follow in a minute. Let me return this mug and settle the bill."

The bill is quickly paid but the Inn keeper insists the Paladin take a fresh cup of tea with him in an earthen cup of no value.

Thank you, but I will return for some tea, once my business is finished. It is something I like to enjoy. Einhard places an extra gold coin before the inkeeper and smiles. He then begins to move to the stables.

Friedrick escorts Einhard to the stables where the horses seem well looked after. The tack and tools are in good repair and both horses are eating a mix of oats and regular feed. The boy stands tall, shoulders back mimicing Friedrick.

Einhard walks over to Daring. He pets and strokes his horse in a calm, gentle manner. He takes a quick inspection and smiles. He turns to Drin, his right palm out stretched with gold in it. Here is 5 Gold Crowns for your troubles. Please take extra care of these horses, Drin. I approve of what I have seen thus far. Einhard puts his hand on the boy's shoulder and squeezes. He then gives Friedrick a cursory glance and exits the stables. He begins his quest, to find the Constable's Office.

Lucky for the Palladin, the Town of Garrotten is rather small, though it seems to be growing do to the gold rush. The Constables office is on the same dirt road, just down the way. A watchman idles on a stool by the door absently twirling his pike in his hands.

Einhard salutes, I am Einhard, Paladin of the Order of Light. My friend, Gray, came ahead with Sergeant Maldoon. Can you lead me to them?

The private stands and salutes back. "Sorry sir. Yes Sire, follow me." He enters the buildings thresh-hold and points to a door in the rear. Gray is standing just outside it. The building is cramped and crowded. It really needs to be expanded or rebuilt. At least a half dozen watchmen are busy doing office work while a couple folk, maybe mercenaries or bounty hunters look at wanted sketches on one wall. "Over there sire. I'm not allowed to leave my post." the guard instructs and retakes his post outside.

Einhard walks over to Gray and grabs the man's forearm and shakes, Is the Constable here, Gray?

Gray nods his head to point inside the office. He then holds up a small coin purse and jingles the coins inside while grinning. It looks to Einhard to be about twenty coins or so.
Inside the office are two men. A deputy and another man at a desk who must be the local Constable.
