Einhard smiles at Gray as he enters the office. He walks right up to the desk and salutes. I am Einhard, Paladin of the Order of Light. My friend, Gray, just accepted the bounty for yon outlaw. Constable Ritage, I presume?

The man with curly, black, shoulder length hair stands and extends a hand to Einhard. He's easily six-two and muscular. "Actually...no, no I'm not. Constable Ritage is out on assignment. I am Deputy Constable Lord Kursaville, his right hand man. I was just thanking your man here Lord Einhard. We've been trying to round up Firebrands men for months now." The Deputy Constable sounded western but, bore himself well. Probably noble birth.

Einhard shook his hand, It's a pleasure Deputy Constable Lord Kursaville. Yes, we have come in contact with these brigands as well. It is a shame that they can not be reined in. Well I have come to pick Gray up and meet the constable. I will return. When would be a better time? Einhard smiles at Lord Kursaville as he asks his question.

"Of course. Think nothing of it. If there is anything else you know where to find me." With that the Paladin and his entourage left the Constable's with Maldoon and headed for the castle. The castle was fortified with stone walls and 4 circular towers. Located on a hill overlooking the country side it had no moat or drawbridge. Maldoon and the others were let through the main gate house with little more then a glance and a nod from the soldiers. Once in the courtyard Einhard could tell that the castle was well built if simple in design. Ahead was the main keep. The party was allowed to enter but, only Maldoon was allowed further in at this point. "I'll be back soon Lord Einhard." the sergeant informed him before leaving.
"I guess we wait eh?" Tidbit commented.
The main entryway was decorated with the Barons coat of arms woven into a tapestry adorning one wall and the sigiel of the Timiro Kingdom on the other. Braziers in all four corners provided light and an expensive yet warn rug from the Western Empire covered most of the rooms floor. Two wooden benches complete with down filled cushions were set against the side walls.
"Think he'll ask anything of us mi'lord?" Friedrick asked.

"The Baron will see us now." The sergeant stated upon his return a halh hour later. The group was escorted by the Sergeant to the Throne room. Not as lavish as the king's by any means it was still ornate and comfortable. The throne was on the small side and the Baron sat in it while playing with two lap dogs.
"Alow me to introduce Lord Einhard Mi'Lord." Maldoon spoke before his liege lord.
"Ah yes, do come closer. What brings you to the wilderness my good fellow?" The young Baron said in a pleasent enough voice.

The baron looked to Maldoon and chuckled politely. "Well we have bandits aplenty around these parts sir Einhard. There are the black-bow Bandits, Hairy Jack, Philippe and of course the Fire Giant FireBrand. Take your pick!"

We will stay the night at the inn. In the morning we will head out to confront this giant and deal with him once and for all. Einhard stands tall and confident. When I return, I will stay here within your keep. Not, before. Einhard feels it is necessary to earn that honor.
