" Damn," Barbarius comments as he bows his head. Then standing up right he looks at Bane," We can't be that far behind. Can ya trackem pup?"

It didn't take long for the Ranger to pick up the scent. An hour later they could see the rest of the party. 30 minutes after that they were reunited. The group looked haggard and down in spirits though they lifted some when the trio rejoined them.
"Good to see the three of you alive and well." Sunny commented with a hint of cheer. He slapped Barbarious' shoulder in good spirit.
"We lost Miguel." Meylon informed them gently.
Bane noticed the group looked like they had been in a fight but, none of them looked as bad as Barbarious or Marissa. A good night sleep was all they needed.

After greetings are made, Sunny and Bane decide it may be best to camp here and enter the Mark in the morning. The night goes by without disturbance. After breaking fast the party journey's the rest of the way to the Mark. Vegetation here is scarce and stunted. The air is warmer even though the party is much farther north then when they began. The wizard 'Selinorr' speaks of an abundance of magical energy and maybe even a nexus in the area and Sunny feels a great evil on the air. Even the sun seems dimmer today as they get closer to the giant crevasse that is the Devil's Mark. When the group approaches the edge one can not see the bottom. Barbarius' enhanced vision spots a rope bridge some distance to the North East that expands the vast gash.

"Well done my drarfen friend." Sunny chimes. I'll scout it out by air. Bane. Lead the others by foot with Barbarius' help. Master Slayer, how for ahead do you think this bridge is?"

"Uhhmm, are you sure master dwarf? I don't see a bridge that close." Sunny stammers, perplexed.
"I don't see a bridge and I'm a bloody elf! I think that contraption on your face is acting up again Barbarius." Meylon figures aloud. "Best just keep an eye out Sunny."
"Indeed." With that the Paladin takes flight on his winged horse and heads in te direction Barbarius pointed.

Bane scanned the area, he didn't see anything either but Barbarius had been able to see those invisible bugbears. Perhaps he can see all manner of things invisible to the naked eye. Motioning for everyone to follow, Bane began moving in the direction Barb had indicated. "Are we getting close?"

The group kept walking along the edge of the crevase with no bridge in sight. Soon Sunny returned and landed his pegasus. "That bridge is a few miles away! Our Dwarfen companion sure has some excellent vision. There doesn't seem to be anything guarding it though it looked to be in poor shape. It is only a simple rope bridge. There does appear to me some kind of homestead on the other side."

Told you there was a bridge! Barbarius flashes a dirty look at Bane. He looks at the bridge and this time pays attention to the readout.

"Don't glare at me like that with magical eye patch. Since you seem to be able to see hidden things, I didn't know if you were doing so again. I would never have thought it possible but that new eye of yours makes you creepier then before."
Bane scanned area behind them and tried to pick up any smells or strange sounds. His thoughts raced about how to get across. That rope bridge didn't sound like it would hold his weight. There was no way to jump across and it didn't seem to get narrow enough to construct their own bridge.
"Sunny, do you have any ideas?"

Bane smells sulfur in the air.
"Well..'if' we have enough rope I could fly over and strengthen the bridge." Sunny proclaims.
"My Lord Willowtree if you would allow me. I could float you all over to the other side." Selinorr remarked.
What? You can make us fly?" This from Meylon.
"Nay, the spell is simple, it only allows us to float not fly. We would still need to use the rope bridge as a guide or else we would go wherever the breeze takes us." the wizard reasured her.

"Hold a moment. If Selinor can float us across the abyss and Sunny, you can fly over it, what would the harm be to securing one to the other and Sunny can guide us across? I have a great length of rope and I'm sure some of the others here do as well. Surely this will save us the delay of traveling to this dangerous to do the same. This bridge is likely a possible ambush spot anyway."
Bane suddenly realized he was rambling so quickly cut himself off and waited for someone else to offer an idea.
