FIREBRAND! This is finished! SURRENDER! There is no need for further bloodshed! Einhard stands sword ready, hoping to end this without killing the giant.

The giant stares at the knight. He shrugs with a grunt and drops his weapons to the floor. "I..yield. Is that the correct term?"

Aye. Now, order your men to do so as well. Praise the Lord. Einhard did not want this to end with the giant's blood on his hands. He turns to Friedrick, RIDE BACK TO GARROTTEN, POST HASTE! INFORM SERGEANT MALDOON, THAT FIREBRAND AND HIS MEN ARE READY TO SURRENDER! HAVE HIM BRING ENOUGH MEN TO PROPERLY TAKE THIS GROUP BACK FOR TRIAL! With this Einhard looks back to Firebrand, sword still out, but pointed down. He watches the giant, ready for any action.

And not a moment too soon. For it was not fatigue causing the Giant to inhale huge gulps of air, he needed the oxygen to fuel his races most feared yet not well known weapon. Breath of fire!!!
(OOC: dodge or parry with your shield)

Einhard moves to get out of the way, but he underestimates the flames range. (12 to Strike, 9 Dodge), His shield falls to the ground a ruined lump of chared wood while his armor takes the brunt of the flames. His scail mail is singed and many of the leather bits will need replacing, but it protects the Paladin as it was intended. (19 damage, 1 from shield, 18 from armor 'AR' 15).
With his surprise attack doing less then the giant had intended he back peddles with both hands out, palms forward. "Mercy Sir Knight, mercy! I have no further tricks!" He shouts to his men, "Unarm yourselves my followers. We are done for." Blades clatter to the ground around the room. Einhard has won the day after all.

Einhard charges the giant, fiercely. His counter attack is instant, but when the Giant cries for mercy, he can't go through with his attack. He stops close to the giant and watches. Another trick and I swear, by my honor, I will be left with no choice, but slay you. Einhard turns so he can still watch Firebrand and also see his men as the drop their weapons. If Friedrick is still there, he nods, giving him the sign to continue with his orders.
